Shear Hill — The Ames's neighborhood. Low-to-middle income, primarily populated with manual laborers: quarry workers, stone masons, brick makers, sand miners, etc. The Ames's street is at the base of the hill. During the war, the neighborhood was home to a high percentage of rebels and rebel sympathizers, but bordered areas that were predominantly Captiol loyalist. It was the target of routine street skirmishes and extensive aerial firebombing during the war.

Childhood goes on: Adder still takes her siblings down to the quarry lake with some of the neighbors. They play king of the quarry with the Johnwaynes and have chicken fights with the Zahers.

Nor Ames is seized and executed by a gang of Capitol loyalists while picking Talia up from school
Adder and some of the neighborhood kids — Flintlock, Elijah, and Gadsden — officially start getting involved in the rebellion.
Their first actions involve stealing trucks and heavy equipment vehicles for the rebellion
Adder earns the nickname "Shotgun"

Aerial firebombing of District Two — Shear Hill is hit hard. The Ames house loses its roof and much of the top floor. Alya Ames is killed in the bombing.
Adder and her neighborhood comrades decide that enough is enough and leave District Two for the front lines
Violet becomes the de-facto head of the Ames household

The Ames kids back in Two alternate between staying with various neighbors and hunkering down in the remains of their house

The commander of their section steps on a landmine. Elijah Johnwayne is tapped to take his place.

Their section spends a month back in District Two in preparation to begin marching on the Capitol

They infiltrate a Capitol train depot, load a train with Capitol explosives, and park it under Capitol barracks with the intent to demolish them.
Elijah betrays them: she does not detonate the explosives, shoots Gadsden in the chest when he lunges for the detonator.
Half their squad is killed, the other half — Adder included — is captured

Adder spends around a month in a cell in the Capitol as a POW
Adder is returned to District Two a couple days in advance of the first Reaping, remaining under house arrest
Adder is reaped as a tribute for the first Games. The Peacekeepers who come to take her to the Capitol break down their door and mistakenly try to take Violet, since she's taller.

Adder wins
As a high-profile known rebel in a tense time, Adder is dangerous to associate with and is left somewhat isolated in District Two
When tensions begin to heat up in the districts again, Capitol takes Adder on a 'victory tour' as a warning to the citizens
Adder sends the gold crown they put on her head into the crowd in District Three

Adder is brought to the Capitol and made to sit in the crowd and watch during the 2nd Games

[3rd Games]

Adder is brought to the Capitol and made to sit in the crowd and watch during the 3rd Games
Two years removed from her Games, Adder decides it's safe to start covertly rekindling some of her revolutionary associations under the guise of a bowling league

[4th Games]

Adder is brought to the Capitol and made to sit in the crowd and watch during the 3rd Games
When the Capitolites start jeering the tributes and throwing their concessions, the citizen sitting next to Adder dumps a green slushy on her. Adder coldclocks the Capitolite.
Adder's "bowling league" meets frequently at the Ames house — Violet and Adder have a huge protracted fight over Adder putting her siblings in danger.
