Fear doesn’t exist, just as Taurus & Neptune no longer do. The Devil stands before us, but I don’t cower in her shadow. Just like her I’ve been bred for these Games, and it’s about damn time that I’ve established this. The loss of my Friends will not result in my own downfall. Unfortunately it’ll only be the origin to the destruction I’ll return in exchange. Let’s observe nearly seven years of Career training, and whether anything is truly enough.
A single Eye welcomes each of us to the next episode of this Show. I witness the terror she’s craving to cause, the continuous bloodshed in which the Game makers are prying for her to create. But my stare doesn’t wince in despair. I’m hankering for more. Not even the faintest battle scars mark this beast. She didn’t kill them. But I plan to devour her existence as though she had. My new blade doesn’t hesitate to strike, while satisfaction is still a dark distance ahead.
She remains dangerously strong; even after each of our weapons leave deep wounds against her somber exterior. The deep red repaints the beach with the color Capitol is desperate for. Hope they’re not too disappointed if there’s a lack of variety in the bodies that are harmed. Because even as she pounces to attack me with her razor sharp claws, I refuse to flinch in despair.
The keen sting barely catches me off guard, as I can hardly even note it as pain. While one of my ears is still missing, a lot more damage will have to be instilled to compare. With the regret that still curses my heart and stomach, maybe only death can measure. Am I grateful? That the others weren’t badly injured, most certainly. Until my reprisal is met though, closure will never be reached.
Am I endangering the only two I have left? Should we be saving this resource of energy for other occupying Tributes? No. I must slaughter this Demon, settle the agony engrossing my core. Hesitation doesn’t join me as I further my calling, hauling my weapon off once more.
