Fear is a life obligation that everyone is cursed with, rather if its something to admit to or not. But for Septys to fall under that general category? He's an eldest brother that's willing to protect his family with his life. For some reason I was never able to picture him suffering from this. Yet I stand corrected as I observe him trembling as much as I did when witnessing Peacekeepers capture my Father a while back. There's such a desire to abstract this pain from him, comfort him, though my hands only fiddle with the bar materials to remain busy.
Wine is requested instead of the rougher influences, and I comply instantly. At this point, I'd do anything to discover myself back on Septys's good side. "Yeah, sounds good to me." I accept rather frantically, my tone matching the butterflies consuming my insides. A bottle is taken from the shelve behind me, unsure of proper brand to grab. At this point, we just need something that'll calm both of our nerves. A pop consumes the silence between us before two glasses are poured.
"I wouldn't even think about it." I reassure when Septys expresses concern about this incident getting out. Being from District One, I'd never risk shaming our image...though it's more then just that which would prevent me. I travel around the bar to once again find myself in front of him, without any angst joining me this time.
Surprisingly he mentions what occurred on Seven's floor, despite my convinced perspective that was the last concern on his mind. Was the incident with Nine what caused him to react so harshly to the height the elevator illustrated? Either way it's upon his mind while greater physical fear just overwhelmed him. He must care. Regret is a sensation I used to refuse until now, I wish I could take my mistake back. But thankfully through a clear head Septys realizes it wasn't an action against him.
Gently I move even closer to him, enfolding my arms around Septys's neck as though I were a delicate necklace owned only by him. "Nothing personal." I reassure in a repeat of his words. If only there was a way I could prove this to him. "I was only protecting our alliance, that's all." I hold my breath with desperation that he'll believe me.
Ooc: at work, so a table & edits will come later(=
