Perhaps maybe the only advantage to being from District Twelve is that she was not the first tribute to go up to the stage, so she could rehearse her silly, quirky lines while she eavesdropped on Wolly Wondull (who the fuck was that??) and whichever not-socially awkward tribute was before her.

She was also pretty sure her outfit cost more than her mother made in a year, and she sported high heels for the first time ever, so that was pretty anxiety-inducing in itself. Perhaps breathing exercises would help? That was what her gym teacher would always tell her before the god forsaken mile run.

"District Twelve Female!"

Oh shit. Maybe too late for that.

She took one quick breath before camera crews ushered her onto the stage. With every step she took, she wobbled around unevenly on her heels, every thought tuned into walking straight and with every bit of courage that she lacked. Maybe I should've listen to mom earlier about my posture.

Her heart rate finally slowed as she reached the chair. But as she reached for her seat, her heel met the skirt of her dress and without any grace whatsoever, she fell into her seat with a FLOP. Sinead quickly pulled herself back up, but the chorus of laughter from the audience had already begun.

Her cheeks were tainted red. So much for first impressions.

"I suppose I should get more used to walking in heels," she chuckled nervously to Wolly, her heart erupting like thunder as her fall relayed over and over in her head.

Wally was the type who wasn't ashamed of working with the lower districts' tributes. Many people in the Capitol thought of working with those from Ten, Eleven and Twelve as something reserved for the lower class citizens of the Capitol. Mr. Wondull, however, was far from being such. He owned a very, very successful chocolate factory with a chocolate production and profit from said production that was truly through the roof compared to any other.

He was not only proud of being the one to style one of District Ten's tributes every year starting this year, but was also beyond pleased to be able to interview the tributes from the lower districts this year while Caesar was taking his much deserved break from interviewing.

It made sense to Wally that they had four different interviewers for the tributes, who were separated into groups by District. It was a lot of work for one person to do all of the interviewing, after all. He wasn't sure how Caesar kept up his energy to do that every year for so many years on end.

Wally was excited for this. He loved having the opportunity to speak with the tributes whenever he could, and now, he had the chance to delve into their lives and their minds even further. So, when Sinead Williams made her way onto the stage, he looked forward to speaking with her.

She was reaped, rather than volunteering, but that didn't take away from the level of interest he had when it came to speaking with her. Although, as she strode onto the stage, she wasn't quite as graceful as he had expected. Her heel met her dress, and she plopped into her chair with something that was quite the opposite of elegance. Laughter erupted from the crowd, which could either be a good thing or a bad thing in the end.

If the audience thought a tribute was clumsy, they may be less likely to sponsor them, thinking they won't make it far. It's also possible, however, that the audience may assume she's going to be entertaining in the arena.

Wally raised and then proceeded to lower his hands in the direction of the audience as an indication to calm down and quiet themselves so that they could begin their interview. He then turned to look at Sinead with a broad smile on his face.

"Sinead!" he exclaimed. "It's quite nice to have you here, if I do say so myself, and your entrance was— well, quite a statement!"

Wally wasn't one to always think about what he was saying, and whether or not it could be deemed offensive, although he always did try his best to be kind. He just seemed to lack a verbal filter on occasion.

"Now, Sinead, I have a few questions for you tonight," he explained. "First and foremost, I myself would like to know, and I'm sure our audience here would like to know as well, when your name was called at the reaping, what was your first thought? Were you excited? Scared? A mix of the two, or something else entirely?"

He waited eagerly for her response.

Quite an impression.

Oh my, she had done it. Already made the reputation for herself as that girl from District Twelve who couldn't walk in heels.

She could already hear the disappointing sound of Capitolites zipping their wallets back up. There was no way any of them would send sponsorship money to her now.

Unless she fixed her mistake and wowed the crowd right here, right now.

"Wally, I'll be honest, I was scared shitless at first," she admitted, as she crossed her legs and leaned into her palms, as close to the interviewer as she could possibly get. She avoided the glaring eyes of the audience and smirked, "but, now that I'm here, I couldn't be more excited."

She brushed off her dressed and leaned back into her chair, nonchalantly. Breathe. You got this. She was lying through her teeth, but the audience didn't know that.

"You know, there's so many people who volunteered to be here. So many that were so eager to come to the Capitol that they put their hand up and walked onto the stage themselves. But I think there's a certain kind of pride in being reaped, y'know?"

She cleared her throat and continued.

"It's like, everyones all like, volunteer this, oh look at who volunteered in this District. But I think there's something to be acknowledged by the people who were chosen to be here. The ones who, by fate, miraculously were able to be here."

She was rambling, and she wasn't even sure if she made sense. But she continued on anyway.

"I think it gives us an advantage. We're underestimated," she glared at Wally once again, "definitely something to watch out for in the arena."

Sinead's response sounded like she was prepared to answer the question that Wally had asked: as if she had expected it, and that definitely looked good to the audience. Stumbling over your words in an interview never helped. Seeming like you were prepared, even if you weren't, was definitely the key to impressing those who were watching your interview unfold.

It seemed like Sinead had been prepared for the questions, but not so much the act of walking onto the stage in front of everyone while wearing her interview dress and heels. Wally wasn't too concerned about her entry to the stage. It wasn't that important to him, as it wasn't like he was much better in heels than she was— he'd tried before and failed quite miserably. Although, he still felt the need to point it out when he spoke to her at the start of her interview because that's just what Capitol interviewers did when they spoke to tributes. You needed to do things or say things that might embarrass them, and see how they weasel their way out of the situation.

When Sinead mentioned that she was "scared shitless at first", a few chuckles came from the audience. Then, however, she went on to explain that there was pride in being reaped, because it was different than just choosing to be in the Games. She said that she thought those who were reaped were underestimated, and a wide smile appeared on Wally's face.

"It's nice to see such confidence from a tribute, especially from a lower district! I'm sure you'll do your best to show everyone that they shouldn't underestimate you," Wally responded.

"So, another question for you, since you truly do seem to have a bit of confidence about you. I'm sure some of us here who've been watching for long enough know that your brother Affron was in the 75th Hunger Games. Does his bravery or his performance in his Games have any affect on how you feel going into these Games? How confident do you feel when you think about that?"

Prying into family history was something Wally was good at. He'd done his research, after all. He wasn't going to go into this whole thing unprepared. He wanted to delve into the deep questions now, and this was the way to do it, if you asked him.
