Malarkey was eight years old when their father showed them the proper way to sheer a sheep, now they do it on their own. Of course their father's name is on the paperwork for owning the business, but Malarkey does it all. From booking the guests, to traveling to homes, to obtaining the money for it all. It's all fun, and it offers a sense of relief for someone who otherwise struggles with anxiety and meeting new people.

So many times people have asked how they can work in a business that involves visiting people every day when anxiety becomes almost crippling, and Malarkey simply shrugs their shoulders. Many may not understand, but there's something calming about it. Hugging the sheep tightly, and letting the animal know it's safe makes all the difference.

Malarkey hopes recipients of the wool appreciate the work it takes to give them the material they need when it comes time to craft clothes and other wool things.
