I like to think I am big deal, my hair slicked back and a constant serious expression on my face. I almost always mean business unless it is time to play. Work hard but play harder is my motto. If I am going to be earning my own cash, then I want to be spending it like it is no one else’s business. I say bullshit to anyone who thinks money cannot buy you happiness. It can buy me a house, the attention of gorgeous women, gold chains. All those things can buy me the respect of my peers.

Back when we were kids, my sister Geraldine would always make fun of me for spending more time getting ready than she did. I was six years older than her but still she always thought her opinion constantly needed to be heard. I did not need the little girl telling me that appearances did not matter. My clothes were always ironed, not a flaw to be found in my hair and I always smelt of signature cologne. Every little aspect mattered and could make the world of a difference on someone’s first impression.

When people saw me, they still took me seriously despite my tattoos and body modifications because of the effort I put in. When they saw my sister, they saw a wreck of a person. She may be brilliant, but she never understood how to succeed in life. Such as shame, she could have gone far if she only smiled a little bit more.

At work, I ran a team of around twenty different lawyers at any given time. I sit in my glass window office of the corporate Verbrecher building on the top floor. I could look out on the whole district from my office and take in the view that I have found my success in life. My days are filled taking meetings from the pharmaceutical companies, dealing with their patent complains, writing tedious non-compete contracts and of course dealing with the aftermath of the idea that put me in this office in the first place.

Who ever knew that stealing confidential information and exploiting would cause such a pain in the ass. The only thing that managed to ruin my days more than that would be Thatcher. The company that took the building when we took the license. They took enough over the years, but it seems like not a day can go by without one of them banging up on the office door trying to claim the license as their own. Too much of my valuable time is wasted on their pathetic sorry asses.

I bought my own home at the age of 21, I was able to move out of the family house and earn myself some independence. There was nothing like coming home from a long day of work making sure the little man could not touch our company, kicking my feet up and enjoying a drink. The taste of success could not be compared to anything else in the world.

This was only the beginning, one day I aspire to take over the company. I know my sister wants it, but she will never come close to my legacy. Once the company is mine, I would aspire to buy the other giants out or run them into the ground. I may not know a lot about pharmaceuticals, but the corporate world is my home sweet home. Afterall I am only 24 years old; I have more time on my hands than most in this industry.
