Here is an optional in-character interview you may choose to fill out in response to this thread. Interviews will run from now until the start of the Games. (You may post an interview after the start of the Games, but you will not receive the listed incentive.) Completing an interview is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended.

You may do this in RP style, as if your tribute were actually being asked these questions, or simply fill out the transcript of the conversation via dialogue.

"I've never seen boots like those before, have you? It was cool- I kind of felt like an android or something."

"How confident do you feel about the games now that you've seen your Training Score?"

"Yeah, uh, I guess-" (The microphone begins giving feedback, so Ceasar Flickerman moves the interview forward.)

"What about the other tributes? Intimidating? Interesting? Irritating?"

"Intimidating for sure. But there are a few kids my age, and some of them are pretty cool to hang with!"

"What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?"

"Um, the tv in my room is floor-to-ceiling and has, like, twenty playable games on it. Demetria keeps scolding me for spending too much of my time playing! It's the first time I've ever seen anything like that- I kinda suck though."

"Tell us what a typical day in your shoes is like back home. Do you work? Do you have any hobbies or secret talents?"

"Well I definitely don't have any video games. Usually I help around the house and stuff."

"With chores?"

"Sort of. My parents own a cemetery, so sometimes I help with that."

"Ooo! spooky! Well how do you spend your free time?"

"I dunno, hanging out with friends I guess. I used to be into tabletop roleplay. Oh! I play the guitar!"

"Well I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I hope we get to hear you play! Now: your family... Sensitive subject, I'm sure, but... could you tell us about them?"

"Yeah, right. Um... Well, I'm the youngest, and then I have two older sisters and an older brother."

"They help with the cemetery as well?"

"Yep! Probably more than I do, honestly. Still kinda freaks me out."

"My... life? Oh wait, was that a trick question?"

"Well, I have to admit I've never dressed as a six foot reptile before, but it was surprisingly comfortable in there. I guess gold really is my colour."

How confident do you feel about the games now that you've seen your Training Score?

"No differently to how I felt before."

Oh? Like what sort of things?

"Things like where somebody is from. What sort of family, what sort of education they've had. Those things matter."

What about the other tributes? Intimidating? Interesting? Irritating?

"Oh, I've been having a lot of fun figuring out who my real friends are."

Uncovered any secrets you can share with us?

"Ah, well, if I told you, I'd have to kill you! But I'd tell everyone to watch carefully. Some of the tributes might not be who you think they are."

What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?

"It never gets quiet, not even in the middle of the night. Something's always happening, someone's always awake, doing something. It can get real quiet, back in Four. I like people. Not much a fan of being alone."

Tell us what a typical day in your shoes is like back home. Do you work? Do you have any hobbies or secret talents?

"Oh, you know how it is. It's a lot of work, attending the academy. It can be hard to find time to be a teenage girl, to see my friends and go to parties, in between studying and training. I try and make time."

Is there a lot of pressure on you, then, to succeed?

"My parents always say it's important that I live up to my potential. It can be a lot, sometimes, but I know they just want what's best for me."

Is it just you and your parents? Any siblings waiting back home?

"No, just me. I think that's why they're so involved, you know. They just want everything to be perfect for their little girl."

I want to know: What is it that you'll be fighting for in that arena? What is it you want to get back home to?

"Would it surprise you if I told you I've got something to prove?"

You seem very sad for a girl who's on stage in front of the ENTIRE WORLD! Many people would kill to be right where you're sitting, all glammed up by the best stylists in the world. Tell me about what you're wearing today?

"I'm supposed to look like a blade. A silver blade. See how the fabric kind of mirrors the light when I turn? Oh, thank you, thank you, you don't have to clap for me. Many people might be willing to kill to be here but I just... I just want to go home."

Speaking of home, what about romance? Cute as you are, I bet there is someone back home waiting, right?

"... The only people waiting for me back home are my family. My parents -- hi, Mom and Dad! -- and my two older sisters. Oh, and I guess my friends from school, and from the ice cream shop where I worked this summer. Hi, I miss you all. Love you, mean it."

I want to know: What is it that you'll be fighting for in that arena? What is it you want to get back home to?

"I'm fighting for all of them. Everyone I know and everyone I don't know in District 9. I just... I just want to... I just want to see ALL of them again, you know? I don't want to be here any more."

”My heart was RACING! Not literally, did you see the heart on my outfit? Pretty neat wasn’t it? Yes! Thanks Caesar. Say thanks to Eijah too, he made it all! Made us two cardio girlies the pretties princesses in the realm!”

”I am sooo ANNOYED Caesar! District Six are abysmal according to the training scores but someone told me that they don’t matter. Do they really matter? Sera’s proven that they don’t….”

What about the other tributes? Intimidating? Interesting? Irritating?

”Everyone’s so tall and old! I am glad there’s some kids my age though, they’re cool to hang with. But I am pretty sure I am probably more mature that some of these older ones. Kids from other districts really get up to weird stuff! Nobody has intimidated me though, not yet anyway. They all treat me like a little girl – that’s their first mistake! I think.”

What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?

”How people age. Caesar, didn’t you interview my dad just like this 18 years ago? You look exactly the same as you did now! I saw the recording in the archives the other day. I bet you use the same secret formula that brought my dad back to life! How old are you now anyway?”

Tell us what a typical day in your shoes is like back home. Do you work? Do you have any hobbies or secret talents?

”I used to go to school 5 days a week but now I’m homeschooled as my dad’s council arrested the parents of most of the kids in my class…pretty rough, isn’t it? I do lots of observing of dad’s work, I help the secretary with all her paperwork! Oh and I am training Tortoise to be a guard dog, it has not being going well but he’s got a lot of years to learn yet…”

What about romance? Cute as you are, I bet there is someone back home waiting, right?

”There used to be an annoying boy that sent me valentines the past 2 years! He is goofy though, pretty annoying! Even tried serenading me once. I’ve not spoken to him since I have been homeschooled, but I am sure I saw tears in his eyes at the reaping. I am not interested though, sorry if you’re listening Roger! Not sorry… ”

And your family. Sensitive subject, I'm sure, but... could you tell us about them?

”Sensitive? Really? It has been brought up every second I have been here! You’ve met my dad before, he volunteered for the 80th! Then somehow came home but didn’t win…HEY ANNIE! Then a few years later he got a girl pregnant, but her family didn’t accept it and I ended up on the doorstep of Teddy Ursa’s victor house as my dad was living there. Then 4 years later, District Six voted him as mayor! TWICE! Okay so it has been a little sensitive lately, with all of the protests and stuff but the gamemakers know I have that under wraps!” *WINK WINK*

I want to know: What is it that you'll be fighting for in that arena? What is it you want to get back home to?

”Tortoise, I don’t trust my dad to give him his favourite food! Tortoise has a routine, and it can’t be broken! And my dad needs help anyway. It is a tough job being mayor and I think one day, I will be the very best mayor that Six has ever seen!”

”It was difficult to see as the fabrics obscured our vision, but the concept was intriguing. I just had to have faith the horses knew where they were going.

How confident do you feel about the games now that you've seen your Training Score?

”One would surmise that Seraphina proved last year that scores don’t reflect one’s potential in the Arena. Wouldn’t you agree Ceaser?” I say with a coy smile on my lips. We take a laugh before I continue. ”In any case, I feel confident in my abilities.”

What about the other tributes? Intimidating? Interesting? Irritating?

”I must admit the I haven’t given the other tributes much thought. I’ve concerned myself more with what they’re showing in the Training Center.”

What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?

The way you all have been welcoming. I state before I comprehend my own voice. ”Its been such a great experience being here. Although I admit I wish it was under circumstances.

Tell us what a typical day in your shoes is like back home. Do you work? Do you have any hobbies or secret talents?

It has been mostly me trying to avoid the proposals my mother sets up for me. I’m not ready to take that step and I don’t think I will for a long time.

I miss them dearly, but I’ll know that I’ll get to see them soon.”

”To go back home, and see my family again.”

"… well, not really good, actually. I'd only ever seen a weapon on TV before in the other Hunger Games, and a lot of them are much heavier and harder than it seems on TV. I tried my best but… I didn't do my best."

"All three of those, yeah. I'm sure you know I'm the youngest one here. Everyone is so OLD! It's a bit scary but I'm going to fight very hard to not let them kill me easily."

What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?

"The food is incredible! I got to try one called a kiwifruit and it was delicious. There has been so much food here that I've never seen before and there hasn't been enough time to try them all."

Tell us what a typical day in your shoes is like back home. Do you work? Do you have any hobbies or secret talents?

"I'm not old enough to work but I'm in school! I'm very smart, I do really well in all of my classes. I love to read books, there was a whole library here for us tributes to look at while we trained, and it was my favourite place to be. But other than that, I liked to be out in the meadow back home with my sisters."

"Ewwwww no Caesar! I'm not going to say that in front of everyone *giggles* but I will say that there are a couple of cute boys in my year! *giggles again*"

And your family. Sensitive subject, I'm sure, but... could you tell us about them?

"Well there's my Mom and Dad, and they're probably the best Mom and Dad in the world. They both work in sciences so they can be quite busy but they always make an effort for us when they can. Then there's my sisters, too. I'm the oldest, of course. Then there's Cecily, she's ten and she's very confident and brave, but she also gets herself hurt a lot with silly things. Evvie is the youngest, she's only seven and she cries easily. But she's super sweet and kind and she always wants to try and be friends with everyone."

I want to know: What is it that you'll be fighting for in that arena? What is it you want to get back home to?

"I want to get back to my sisters, and my parents, and back to my classes and my friends. I miss them all so much and there are a lot of days I just wish I could hug them all tight again and - " the rest is cut off as D'Arcy fights back her tears.

"Nervous? Nah, I like the attention. We don't have anything like this back in District Seven, you Capitolities sure know how to throw a parade!"

"Personally, I don't think Training Scores matter very much. I'd like to see what the average score has been between all previous Victors. Still, maybe the Gamemakers saw something I didn't... four's an unlucky number, but for me or the others, I wonder?"

What about the other tributes? Intimidating? Interesting? Irritating?

"The other Tributes are pretty cool, actually. A few take themselves too seriously, but you get that back at home, too. Some of the others have told me Florentine and I look alike, but I don't really see it myself."

What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?

"Oh, I love the horses! Those things are so cool. One of the Library books told me they're land-whales, is that true? Anyways, I'd love to learn how to ride one."

Tell us what a typical day in your shoes is like back home. Do you work? Do you have any hobbies or secret talents?

"I help with cutting down trees, my workcrew calls me 'Skip,' actually... it's an honest life. Still, I wouldn't mind living in that Victor's Village. My secret talent is that I'm actually a ninja, Caesar. That's right, you'll see in the arena, just you watch."

What about romance? Cute as you are, I bet there is someone back home waiting, right?

"Nah, stringing along boys has always been kind of funny, but I always just assumed my mom and dad would eventually try to marry me off. Maybe to some weakling so I could be the one handling the finances. Marry up, girls!"

"I have a brother who never knows when the hell to shut his mouth. Love you, Jethro! And I have two younger siblings, Kelvin and Dedra, who have not been entered into the Reaping yet. Hopefully it will be just me and my parents won't have to go through this again. Not that I plan on losing, but there's just only so much one family can take, you know?"

"I'd like to see my siblings grow up. Really, I should have spent more time with them before all this happened. As for what I'll be fighting for: the honor and dignity of District 7! Let's show those Careers who's boss!"

"It was story time. My goal isn't to be the greatest of all. Maybe it's all part of my master plan. I'm not a fighter, per se, but I am a fighter in other ways."

"They're interesting I guess. Never really tried to figure it out. I just know that I'm me, and nobody else matters."

"Oh definitely the food. It's so delicious, and I could eat it all with no problems."

"Um, to survive obviously! That's the goal! My life is on the line here!"

"Well Caeser, I felt beautiful, so incredibly beautiful and strong. I've never had so many eyes on me before and for once I felt like a star. Plus I'm paired with such an inspiringly beautiful woman"

How confident do you feel about the games now that you've seen your Training Score?

She laughs just a little and rubs the back of her neck "I'm confident that I'll do the best I possibly can"

What about the other tributes? Intimidating? Interesting? Irritating?

"I find them inspiring Caeser, They are some of the strongest people I have ever met" She plays with the hem of her dress just a little as she laughs just slightly "I'm honoured to be beside them"

What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?

"Oh Caesar there is so many incredible things here, the food, the smells, the sights! It almost feels wrong that someone like me gets to see all of this"

"Well, I'd go to school during the day and when I wasn't at school I'd help my mother with work. She taught me how to sew and create, I'm really grateful for all she's taught me"

She lets out another little laugh before shaking her head "I'm always too busy for that kind of thing Caesar"

She tenses just slightly but never lets the smile disappear off her face "Oh they're incredible. My mother is such a hard worker, she'd put her entire life on hold if it meant making me happy. And my father is smart and dedicated..I really hope I get to see them again"

"I want to see my family again Caesar. I want to make them and my district proud"

"If I could move into the Training Center, I would. The utilities are next level."

"Cordelia Blake, the first victor from One, is my great-grandmother. Our family upholds her legacy, and I've always known one day I'd volunteer and follow in her footsteps. My parents gave me all the tools I'll need to succeed. I have several cousins, and a very witty twin brother. Olivine, I know you'll master this part when it's your turn to take the stage."

"Well, I guess I looked exactly like what my ex had in mind when he said T without her coffee was terrifying. I actually thought I would scare a few crows away."

"I think I should apologise to Eulalie, who was kind enough to train me for a bit. Sorry, I tossed it all out of the window in the moment. Don't take that score all to seriously though, I can do enough damage if I want"

"All I have to say is; Fuck you Andromache Stewart!....The rest is actually pretty decent, Harbinger warned me against getting close to any of them and I hate to say I'm adding him to my list of people I'm disappointing. Met some real good people this week."

What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?

"What hasn't impressed me! Everything here is from another world, one I could have never even imagined. The library however, I think I may have just fallen in love. "

"I always start with coffee, I'm addicted and then usually I would go for a walk with dog. We have a route we went every morning, a routine helped get through the rough times. Sometimes if I am lucky I would make it to school, but that doesn't really happen anymore. Most times, I'd head over to my Ma's house and help her out with some chores before work. I work at this god-forsaken bar, but I love it and I love the people. Ever since I have dog in my life, I get why Mr. Keegan always be complaining about his missing cat. That's about it, a day in the life of Tsiuri Dermott."

"I was dating this guy, Marcellus...Y'all may have heard of him? Died two years ago in the 96th, haven't really bothered much with dating since."

"I know my family is rooting for me. My Ma and my sisters are strong women, all of us in the family are pretty tough. Non of this is easy, but I know they will do just fine. You hear me? Don't worry, I got this."

I want to know: What is it that you'll be fighting for in that arena? What is it you want to get back home to?

"This might sound silly, but I have this dream of opening my own little cafe in eleven. The library even inspired me to combine the two concepts, a place where people can go by themselves and never be lonely. Always have a familiar face around to talk to and maybe make a new friend or two. Been thinking about for around a year now, and that dream is exactly what I'll be fighting for."

“Uhhh, it was a little chilly to be honest! In that fairy costume, I could feel the breeze against my leg hairs in a way that I’ve never felt before, you know?”

(Blushing). “Good question, um, I feel pretty [beep!]ing terrified to be honest!” (Holds for laughs.) “But no, seriously, I feel good. I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve, so don’t worry about me.”

What about the other tributes? Intimidating? Interesting? Irritating?

“Yeah. I’m especially intimidated by all of the little ones. If one of them comes after me in my sleep it’s going to be like waking up with a scary dream full of killer elves. ”

What has impressed you most about the Capitol since you've been here?

“Elevators. I frickin' love those things.”

“Work–yeah, uh, I’m a carpenter. I know what you’re thinking, I’m a real Seven stereotype, right? But yeah, I make little things, mostly. Recently I started making wooden toys, like dollhouses, and I make contraptions. Like, where you pull a lever that rolls a ball that flips a switch, etc, and that makes a little bird pop out of a wooden box. That sort of thing. You’d have to see it to get it.”

(Blushes again.) "Besides my family? Uhhhh… I don’t know! I hope there’s someone out there in the world who thinks I’m cute! Besides you, of course, Caesar! Especially now, in my time of need! C’mon!" (Smiles and waves to the crowd.)

(Becomes kinda lost in thought.) ”Sure, well. My mom and dad are both passed–Mom six years ago, Dad… three now. It’s me, my aunt, and my two younger sisters in the house. Daisy is the baby, six years old now. And Tallulah, she’s twelve, but with a temper five times her size. And she’s smarter than me, though I hate to say it." (Smiles nostalgically, then looks at the camera.) "I love you girls, and I miss you so, so much."

(Tears pooling in the corners of his eyes.) "Well, my family. And… all the life we have ahead of us!"
