It seems futile, whatever this is. His opponent's weapons barely know how to scratch him at this point. The knight can see the sweat pouring off their brows as they expend all of their energy just to stay out of the reach of his spear.

Time ticks onwards, always a forward march without pause. The knight is tied to the minute hand, a new command filtering in as if it was his own thought rising to the surface.

He has to keep moving, there is a schedule to keep and more enemies for him to meet. The message stalls him, long enough for a spear to pierce into his stone, chipping away at his edges to send rock shards skittering away.

The knight looks down at the weapon protruding from its torso. Then it looks up at the opponents it was only mere seconds from digging his blade into, and slowly steps off of the enemy's spear. Only minutes ago, the knight planned to guide them to their deaths out of pity.

Now, without another look, the knight sheathes his sword and simply turns away to step off of the branch and plummet to the forest floor far below.
