I Was Reaped, (In REAL life!)

Okay, so GUESS WHAT?! My ex-high school is doing Spirit/Reader Feeder Week, and I volunteered to help out!

Monday: Spirit Fear-it Day

Tuesday: Twin Day

Wednesday:

On Wednesday, my ex-high school is doing a Teacher vs Student Hunger Games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THG were the top selling book at the book fair this year, (and every year they do something based on the book that sold the most, like last year, the best seller was a book called The Life and Death of Charlie St. Cloud, so we did a ship-sailing thing, (you wouldn't get it unless you read the book)), SO:

Every Student had to put in $1 for their name to be put in the Reaping, and I put mine in 20 times-($1=1 entry), and WAS CHOSEN!This is what happens:

12 Teachers vs 12 Students

You are given a District based on:


* Age
* How many times you put your name in the Reaping
* Teacher, (because your teacher might have been Reaped)



I was put as District 4 Female, because I already grad. so I was put on the Teachers Team/side. I am considered a Career, and the only perk is us Careers get a five second head start on Wednesday when they ring the school bell, telling us to go.

Instead of weapons, we are using dodgeballs, and certain colors=a certain Damage when hit. Your "tolerance" is 10 hits or 15 Damage, unless you get hit with a red ball, that is an insta-kill, (which IIIIII told them they should do, I got the idea from this site! *Glares at dead Alkin*).

We have "alliances". I am of course just in the Career alliance. It sorta sucks being against my friends and hanging out with people that taught me a few months ago. . . . .(I honestly think that they are planning to backstab me), and the Arena is every room in the school. Regular Non-Reaped Students will sit outside and wait while we do it, and it will be video-taped, and when it is over, the Students get to watch it in the auditorium! YAY! Students had a Writing-Contest to pick who would be stylists, and I was given a girl who wrote about fashion. So, yay? We get our uniforms out of the wardrobe department.

Damage=IF HIT WITH THAT COLOR BALL


Blue Ball=Arrow-3 Damage
Yellow Ball=Sword-5 Damage
Green Ball=Axe-7 Damage
White Ball=Throwing Knife-3 Damage
Tan Ball=Trident-7 Damage
Red Ball=Insta-Kill

But they will put the Cornucopia in the center of the school, and it is just a paper-mache one that the Art class made. They say that if the School Games aren't over in 3-4 hours, they will send in my ex Principal, and he will be invincible and throw balls at random Tributes. But yea I am SOOOOO excited! *Hopes she wins*

Thursday: Wacky Tacky Day
Friday: Victor Presentation Day/Scavenger Hunt

Jasik recommended something that reminded me to tell you all my strategy!

I THINK that I will run in and grab some things hit some of my allies to cause drama, and run into the janitors closet or mens bathroom and hide until there is only a few left. (The problem is I don't know how I will be able to tell when there are just a few left. . . . .)

EDIT #2:

My friend just txtd me and asked me what I was wearing for the opening ceremonies tomorrow and I was like, WHAT? Apparently, we are having Opening Ceremonies tomorrow where we walk into every classroom and introduce ourselves.

Then to top it off, after that during my ex-lunch period, we are doing Interviews that will be broadcast throughout the school in every classroom on our teachers TVs. I called the girl that was picked to be my stylist, and she said he had already sewed me outfit.

Her exact words-ish:

"White dress that will come down to your knees I hope with green accented scales and no straps. It is sea foam green and it should accent your blond hair. It was used in the little mermaid in our school production a few years ago, remember that? Yea, it was but I sewed it and cut the top off with Principal Cox's permission!"

That was about it. I was like, "Great. A mermaid outfit!"

That is all I know so far. On Wednesday I will make the title something like Competing in the Games Now! or something and tell you how I did!

UPDATE#1

Monday- I had opening ceremonies and walked around the school. It was sorta boring.

Then we had interviews. I played up the "sad" anle that schools shouldn't be exalting violence like this and I tried to make myself cry, but it didn't work.

Tuesday- We did private sessions. I went into the gym, the judges were three teachers.

I used a real bow from the archery class that the school provides as an option to P.E., and shot those for a few minutes. I then threw the dodgeballs at a target and threw a ball at the teacher, whom used to be my algebra 2 teacher; and my training score was............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................9........................................................................................................Yay?

UPDATE #2-THE GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

They rang the school bell and we were all put on different exits to the school the Cornucopia was in the gym! I am fast-ish, so I got there quickly-ish, and got:

• 2 White Balls
  
• 1 Tan Ball
  
• and one RED BALL!!!!!!!!!!
  

I ran away and got hit around 3-ish times! I hid in a janitors closet, (like Jasik suggested), and one person opened the door and I insta-killed them with the red!

I then ran out and "killed" 3 other people by using my balls, and the balls they threw at me.

Then my Career Alliance w/ the teachers betrayed me when we came face to face, and I "killed" one before the ganged up on me and I was "killed" by my FREAKING ALGEBRA 2 TEACHER!, (who seemed a bit too happy that I was out. . . . .

All together:

• I got 4 Kills
  
• I got 4 Balls, (don't be perverted!)
  
• I was in the top 5, and I was the 19th one out, so yayyy?!
  

It was SOOO much fun, I STRONGLY recommend that you get some friends together and do it, because after the School Games, we had another Games after school just students and I was like the top 16 every time, errrrrr , but it is a lot of fun! XD
