[/color] Charlotte planned on telling her parents later tonight about the incident. It was for Gabriella’s own good. She wasn’t going to have another death on her hands.

"Charlotte, " Gabriella piped up in a shrill voice, grabbing Charlotte’s attention. "You won't tell them about today, will you?" Charlotte looked at her sister blankly. She contemplated the choices. Firstly, there was no way to tell Gabriella that she would tell them. So, either way, Gabriella would hear a ‘no.’ If Charlotte told Gabriella ‘yes,’ who knows how she would react.
Gabriella’s love and trust meant everything to Charlotte and she didn’t want to ruin that by lying to her sister. So, she wouldn’t tell her parents. There were some secrets sisters kept just between each other, right? Charlotte’s nagging inner voice intervened though. This isn’t a matter of trust. This is a matter of health.
"No, of course not. They don’t really need to know. It was just a little fluke, right?" Charlotte lied easily. She gave a reassuring smile to Gabriella. Charlotte went into her closet and grabbed a jacket and threw it at Gabriella. "Here, that’ll cover up the bandages. Come on," Charlotte reached out a hand to Gabriella. Hand in hand, the sisters walked out into the living room, where their parents sat comfortably watching the Hunger Games. It was the same portion of the games that the girls had been watching earlier. "Mom. Dad. Gabbie wanted to show you her nails and her hair."
Their parents put on tired smiled and exclaimed, a little too much, over her braid and polished nails. Charlotte walked into the kitchen and opened up the refrigerator, hoping to find something to snack on. She saw the chocolate cookies and grimaced, losing her appetite. In the background she still heard Gabriella and her parents talking. She poured herself a glass of water instead.
