I watched her as she took the piece of paper and read it. A part of me was worried that maybe she would think that my place -- since I was a guy, of course -- would be nothing short of a pig sty. But as I saw her smile, my mood lightened and I replicated the smile on my own face.
"So when will we go? This will be fun! But I suppose we'd have to be quiet. It's not my first being outside District borders, but it would be bad to get caught."
It didn't really matter to me when we left, but anytime before sundown would've been nice. Certainly don't want to get caught out in the forest in the dark. And I would be sure to keep Lily safe; I still remembered the place in the fence I entered through.
"I would like to see this place, Devroux. Just tell me when. Oh. Should we bring something to eat? Drink? Jackets, blankets--- ah. I'm sorry. I'm getting excited over something probably so small. Haha."
I shook my head, the smile still on my face. I had extra food and blankets at my little shelter, and there was a river next to the site, so I figured we had nothing we needed to bring. I gestured with my hand for her to fallow before I turned and started heading towards the door.
It was pretty easy to find the way back through the streets and forest, finding the spot where I had first met Lily. The memory sent a strange warm feeling into the pit of my stomach, and for a brief moment I paused. However, I shook my head, refocusing myself and continuing onward towards the fence, where I searched until I found the broken links. Using my hands, I gripped either sides of the open fence and forced them further apart to give Lily enough room to pass before I fallowed suit.
From the fence, I knew the way to my humble little campsite like the back of my hand. I frequently glanced back at Lily to make sure she wasn't having any trouble as we walked and eventually reached my place: a makeshift lean-to against a massive oak tree, a fire pit, some food wrapped up in a towel, and the river next to it. I turned around to face Lily, gesturing with my arms as though to say 'welcome'.
