Instantaniously, all fear is gone, replaced by fire. It scares even me, as I feel the fire spread into my blood, flowing through my body, spreading, catching...
My fire is easy to put out when it's small. But when it becomes large like this, it's close to impossible to stop it.
I push myself up with my hands, although my soaking wet clothing tries to yank me back to the ground. I stand up, and the water runs down my face and neck. I push my hair behind my back, releasing a filthy waterfall that travels down my spine, but I ignore it.
No one humiliates me like that and gets away with it. I will not be made a fool of in front of them. In front of her.
Although I think Flight went to an extreme, I agree they do deserve to be punished. But I've learned from past experience that the punishment should suit the crime.
But first, I glare at Flight with eyes that would make a normal person run and hide. Flight, however, is far from normal. "Flight, I do not adjust my schedule for you. You adjust yours for mine. I'm the one who's decided to come with you, correct?"
Then, without waiting for an answer, I take time to get to them, and then tilt my head to the side slightly. The look of surprise and slight relief on their pained faces just fuels my anger more. Apparently, I am nothing compared to Flight.
Well, we'll just see about that.
"I'm guessing you had no idea the consequences of your prank would be so... intense. And trust me, I will not be as dramatic. However, you did wish to humiliate someone. So, I will do the same so you."
I take out my dagger, and trace the letter "L" on each forehead. It obviously stings, because they each cry out louder through their wimpering. It's not deep enough to kill them, but it will leave a scar.
"There," I say, a smile appearing on my lips. "I told you it wouldn't be that bad. Pain doesn't last forever. Humiliation, however... well, it will be following you for a very long time."
I straighten back up, and walk over to her, disinterest in my eyes. "Okay. Now we can go."
