Pystan could feel tightness in the chest as the crowd continued to whisper and gossip amongst each other. Privacy was certainly not a practiced tradition. Though she was honestly not bothered by the dress anymore, the blond could not help the returning heat crimsoning her cheeks, casting green eyes elsewhere. Dramatically, she thought the world - this extravagant party - had watched the display of perfect clumsiness and unfortunate coincidences in just manner to punish her past actions; but, her heart could not contain rage for such a trip. While Careers are considered to be stuck-up, some can be logical. I can prove that. Hopefully.
Her orbs averted contact to the boy, blinking. "Father? Drunk? I thought he would have kept his composure." Denying ravishing drinks was certainly a no-no in fancy parties; and, knowing her father, Pystan could see him sometimes losing judgment on how much to partake on. "Of course, he is only doing so for the sake of fun." Smile. "It would be terribly rude of him to reject such offers." Ladies and women - by the Jam rules - objected to being intoxicated, for any unruly behavior was against female expectations.
"Rather pleased to meet you, Julian-- Ah!" Nod. "The Rockshaw family, it is a pleasure to meet one of high importance. I am Pystan of the Jam family. Again a pleasure to meet you, Julian." She bent down only to stop and erect her posture, laughing a little. "I would curtsy but... mm... never mind. It is only a small matter; we can put past traditions, hopefully, just this once, if we don't mind."
Sigh. The number of acknowledged party-goers about the misfortune between the trio was increasing at a sharp incline - more like an exponential growth, an extreme curve shooting to the graph heavens. Among the people, the elder blond could see a young boy pouting and breaking himself from his group - politely, of course, by hand motions - and trying to make way to them. She had narrowed her eyes at him discreetly, a shot of commanding intention in them, yet he did not withdraw.
The blond boy, eyes matching Pystan's, glared at Julian before raising a fist, shaking lightly. Pystan just gripped the boy's hand and whispered in his ear, pointing back inside the room; yet, when she let go and regained composure, the boy scowled at the blond guy. Balling up a fist again, he aimed at Julian, with weak energy. Sometimes boys got to be boys. Sigh.
(That boy is Cauger, Pystan's brother, just to let you know. And he's not a strong one, at the moment. Just kind of like that light blows you sometimes see on TV. xD )
