Dicentra "Dice" Gambler {District 6}

Dicentra is one of the boys living in the market area of District 6. His lightly ruffled, short, dark brown hair accompanying his brown eyes and youthful face gives an impression of a cute gentleman contributing for the good of society. He stands at 5 feet and 9 inches with a thin and slender body giving off a healthy olive-skin color. His face and body together make the impression of a young man on his way to being someone successful.

Dicentra likes to wear dark coloured long-sleeves and jeans which practically make up his wardrobe. Although he wears long-sleeves, he likes to roll them up to look like T-shirts, exposing his brachioradialis muscles. Since his parents have and make dyes, Dicentra can color his cloths to his liking. Whenever he tries to steal an item from someone, he usually wears his white hooded sweater which is dyed another bright color. That way, the only noticeable feature from him if he’s caught trying to steal, is that he was wearing a bright hooded sweater. He uses washable dye to color his clothing so that he can use his sweater over and over again without being caught.

Contradicting Dicentra’s first impression of being as good as his looks, he’s actually the reckless, dare devil, bad-boy type. He lives in the higher class area of district 6, but his house also deals itself as an art shop; selling dyes, paint, Canvases and blank fabrics on the bottom floor. Their usual customers are other vendors around the area selling custom made cloths or pieces of art to those who can afford them. He likes to help his family with the shop if it involves heavy-lifting.

Whenever Dicentra has a girl flirting with him, he gives off the daring aura to keep up his implied reputation. He’s had many girl friends before, but he doesn’t do any activities with them. This is because he feels like he didn’t ‘click’ with his past girlfriends or that their parents don’t like him. To him it was more like brushing them off and waiting for them to break-up with him. It’s fun for him to get the attention of girls, but he has almost no intention to keep it. The only girl that he’s had a stable relationship with is, is with Lacey Malice. The relationship isn’t a romantic kind, it’s more like the feeling that he needs to protect her in a kid sister kind of way. Since Lacey is only 12, and he’s 15, it’s so much in taboos will break if they have a serious relationship. The thought of them being together has never really cross Dicentra’s mind.

Even though he’s good to his family, he’s hostile with any other guys. He provokes them into fighting, if he’s bored. This is one part that has earned him the ‘Bad-Boy’ title with parents and teenagers alike. His parents and older sisters know that, but his parent’s psychology makes themselves think that others can’t see the good in him. His older sisters get some perks from their younger brothers’ reputation, so they rather like him being like that.

Dicentra isn’t quite smart; thinking with his fist first before his brain. He doesn’t regret his actions though it gets him into many troubling spots. He’s a kleptomaniac, having the urge to steal things from people. Usually, he steals jewellery and gives them to his mom, one of his sisters or Lacey. Occasionally, he will steal things that may be necessary, like food, medicine or healing items for Lacey’s family. Other then stealing, he likes to break or destroy things. Accompanied by Lacey, they go out writing graffiti on their walls, breaking windows or even making harmless explosions in the middle of the night.

Dicentra is the last born of the family, having two older sisters that are five years older than him. His parents treat him with extra care, and even his two older siblings still look out for him. He was a good kid, the kind you would be happy to call your brother. His parents own an art shop in the richer side of town, but only a very small amount of people could afford it. So business was usually slow, which made them living on small amounts of money. This is what first triggered Dicentra to steal money from people.

Dicentra is a kleptomaniac. Due this personality trait, he is addicted to stealing things from other people. He started stealing things from people when he was around five or six. Usually, they were small things like pencils, papers, note books and things that usually have no relevance to their owner. It became more serious over the year when he started stealing money, jewellery, and personal items from people.

One day, when Dicentra was eight, he was already stealing items sold at the market place. After a day of steeling jewellery, he bumped into a little girl- or rather, she bumped into him. Directly after that little girl recovered and started walking away, he noticed that a few bracelets he stole were gone. He looked behind himself to see that the little girl was holding the bracelets. After a small chase, he confronted her. They talked and had a surprisingly deep conversation about themselves and why they were stealing.

They two became a duo of thieves and mischief makers; vandalizing property, stealing things from people, or even spying on people to blackmail them later. Among their attempts of stealing, they have never been caught. Over the years of bonding through crime, they became close friends, almost like siblings. To him, she was like the sister he never had.

In school, he became a well-known kid through his looks, and his stereotype as a jock. But then he stopped hanging out with other jocks, which concentrated attention, good or bad, on him. He was alone at school now. Usually, he and a few jocks would poke fun at some of the nerds at school, but since he had no friends to help in when he’s in trouble, he gets caught bullying more often. The harassment he does is more physical, and then it seeps mentally through his words and constant abuse.

Currently, he likes to hang out with Lacey; making plans for their next crime or executing them with her. His and her parents just think that they’re playing like normal children do, but they have no idea that they plan whole crimes.
