Thalia Rose
Thalia could feel the cold tears streaming down her rosy cheeks as she relived what had just happened earlier that day. She sat with her arms folded tightly across her chest, tugging her torn and tattered jacket closer around her despite how little it did for her. Silent sobs escaped her as she thought about going to the Detention Center. Most likely, she would be the youngest one there. Even though she barely did anything, she was still terrified of Peacekeepers and the Capitol.
She was still surprised of how sudden the Peacekeepr had come. The white uniform that always sent fear running through her immediatly caused her to start crying and begging him to not make her go. Her pleading led to a few hard kicks from the cold-hearted Peacekeeper, until she was finally lead into what she believed to be a car. Now darkness surrounded her as she listened to the loud bumps that they went over. Her eyes were blotchy from crying; the tip of her nose red from the cold and the constant sniffling. She was immediatly snapped out of her own worrying thoughts as they came to a screeching stop.
She had barely any time to think of what was happening before the Peacekeeper opened the door, pulling her out harshly despite her small and frail size. "Please don't make me go" she pleaded once again, sounding like the young girl that pleaded for the Peacekeepers to stop hurting her and her mother. A scowl spread across the man's crueld face as he gripped her arm tightly and lead her into the Detention Building. The smell and sight of it sent goosebumps up her arms as she glanced around nervously.
She was pulled through many doors, until she finally reached the cell that she was assumed was hers. Tears were continuously streaming down her face, a silent scream escaping her as she was pushed suddenly through the bars. She tripped from the sudden force, barely having enough time to stretch her arms infront of her for protection. The impact skinned her palms, though it was nothing really to her. She had tripped thousands of time in the woods, though it still didn't take away from the slight stinging in her hands. The Peacekeeper's harsh laugh rang in her ears as he walked away, the sounds of his boots echoing against the walls as he walked away.
Thalia didn't bother to get up as she pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around her knees. A low sob escaped her, the old scars running along her back and cheek tingling as she remembered her last meeting with the Peacekeepers. She clenched her tiny hands into fists as her eyes scanned the room, taking in what was around her. The metal bowl that she assumed was meant for a toilet was disturbing and uninviting, but the beds looked actually comfortable compared to her own back home. She silently wondered if ssomeone else was going to be in the cell with her as she thought about Chloe. She hoped that Chloe was alright, and that she had gone unnoticed, though she doubted it. She sighed shakily as the thoughts drifted through her overflowing head as she rested her head on her knees silently.
