Some Questions.....

1. This varies a little depending on how busy the librarians are and how many characters have been accepted recently. It shouldn't be too long--probably no more than a few days, although I can't say for sure as I'm not a librarian myself.

2. Fighting in the Battlefield is pretty straightforward. You write attack posts just like you would for any other thread, then add a code at the end. Depending on what weapon you have, that code differs--for example, you use [dice=200+2000] if your character has a knife, but swords use [dice=100+2000]. (The full list is in the Reference Sheet.) When you post, the computer rolls a 200-sided virtual die and shows the result as a number in a little white box. Check that number against the tables in the reference sheet I linked above, and you have your attack!

People can add their own rules and complexities to fights in the Battlefield if they so chose. In the Games, everything is set and fairly simple: each attack has its own damage value (as seen here), and tributes die when they reach 40 damage.

It's really pretty simple, but it does take some getting used to. If you're still confused, I'd suggest looking at examples from the Games. (And, of course, you're free to ask more questions. ^^)

3. Some boards don't give money for posts because posts there are often very short and easy to make. We disable money on those boards to try to keep the site currency from inflating. (Can you imagine how easy it would be to pile up money if Games and Fun posts counted?)

4. Your status goes up with your post count. Yours will go up next when you hit 100 posts, at which point it'll become Merchant. After that it'll change to Tribute at 300, and then Career Tribute at 500, and so forth.
