Rose noticed after an uncomfortable silence that it was obvious the girl wasn't acknowledging her. Surely she heard me,[/color] she thought to herself, puzzled. Rose couldn't quite figure out the reason for the awkward silence that passed between both girls. The girl could still be in shock from the whole freak experience. Yes, that was probably it. Rose considered trying to help the girl sit up, but worried that any sudden movements might startle the unstable girl. And then where would we be?[/color] No, this situation had to be taken care of with great care. She didn't want to scare the girl.

The thought occured to Rose that she should just leave. She's awake now, you could just leave her be and pretend that nothing ever happened. She looks like she wants to be left alone...[/color] But as tempting as the thought of leaving was, Rose knew she couldn't, as much as she knew that she wouldn't be able to forget aboout what had happened today if she left the girl now.

Rose still had no idea why the girl continued to ignore her, but it was irritating her. And you didn't want to see Rose when she was irritated. Sure, most of the time she was just plain depressing if she wasn't trying to hide it with the fake emotions, but when she was irritated or angry, you wouldn't want to be anywhere near her. Annoyed, Rose neglected her previous self-advice and gave the girl a slight shove on the shoulder. "Listen girl, I''m trying to help you. Don't ignore me or I'll start getting mad. You don't want to see me when I'm mad." Rose thought how foolish she must look and sound to the girl. She was probably laughing silently to herself at Rose's impulsiveness. But Rose could feel the adrenaline beginning to course through her veins once more, and hoped for the girl's sake rather than her own, that she hurried up and said something.

The girl looked like she was getting frustrated like she didn’t like the silence that she was receiving in return for her help. But Elmo couldn’t do anything. she couldn’t feel anything it was like she was the living dead. Only here to inhabit earth with the annoyance of her death useless body all she could do was hear. That’s all nothing more. Shre still had panic running through her veins, but it started to ebb, why was she scared of Death? She should just relax her body, accept it with open arms, let it take her willingly, she had nothing to live for.

The only reason she was still on earth was because she couldn’t do it. she couldn’t bring herself to cut up the street not across. For the irst time it actually pissed her off.

Shr had been think so hard about herself she hadn’t noticed that the feeling in her fingers returned. It stung. A tingling stinging feeling, but that didn’t bother her, she could feel! She opened her mouth testing, testing to see if her voice would make an appearance, but disappointed to hear nothing, nothing at all, just silence.

By now the girl was really pissed, she looked like she was about to go off her head. Elmo didn’t know how to respond. Fear filled her, fear that she hadn’t gotten since she was young. Fear that here mother had inflicted on her.

Rose could feel her body shaking. She knew that she was going to go off any moment. Why doesn't she say anything?! I'm trying to help her, I mean, surely she can hear me now. Maybe she's doing it on purpose, hoping that I will leave in a fit of frustration or something.[/color] And that's exactly what Rose felt like doing. Why couldn't she just leave the girl be? She would be better off dead.

Rose gasped a little at the cruelty of her own thoughts, although she didn't regret saying it. If she's going to do something as stupid as cut herself for fun, then she deserves to die. All sympathy had left Rose, and now all that was left was the harsh, bitter inside. The complete opposite of a sweet-centred chocolate. That's what she was. Unlike the gooey, soft centre, she was sour and mean. And she wasn't afraid to show it.

Rose had just about had it, She sighed softly and stood up, just about to leave, when she saw the girl's eyes flutter open. SHe watched as the girl then proceeded to try speaking, but without success. Whether it was from shock or fear, the girl had lost her ability to speak for the time being. Rose wanted deperately to grab the girl and shake some answers out of her, to get in her head and understand how she worked. Like everything, Rose had a strange urge to find out more than was good for her. Rose sat back down on the grass and stared at the girl. She just sat there, waiting for the girl to finally speak, willing herself to stay sane long enough to hear what the stranger had to say.

The girls rage seemed to go further than the situation in front of her, Elmo thought, but then she froze. She couldn’t really talk. She had never been able to read people, so what gave her the skill to read this girl. She knew for sure that she could see anger there, and in some way she knew the anger was directed at her, but it stopped there. Elmo was not a social person. She knew nothing of others emotions. She could not read people, and sometimes she was glad of it. but now looking up at the girl Elmo felt some sort of fear surge through her. The fear felt familiar, but what had caused it? she wasn’t sure. Now that sounded crazy! how could you fell fear without knowing what the fear you feel is?

But as she turned her eyes back to the girl the anger seemed to ebb a bit, replaced with something else. Elmo wasn’t really sure what it was, but she wasn’t sure she wanted to find out either. The tingle ling in her fingers was very uncomfortable, it felt like there were ants nibbling on them, trying to dig their way into her skin, into her flesh. She started to panic, looking over to her hands, she thought she could see the ants, the little place creature! They were all over her hands. Ashe started to scream! A voiceless scream, just sounded like wheezy breathes, but one look on Elmo’s face showed how she felt. But really if you were the person watch her.. you would he scared. You would think, what is she screaming at? There is nothing on her hands. She is hallucinating.

From her position on the ground, Rose wondered for the 8th or so time today what it would be like to die.

A strange question, but whenever she felt herself losing her grip, she thought about dying. What it felt like, what it looked like, what it sounded like... death intrigued Rose. Any normal person would think Rose was an emo or something of the sort, but sh knew that if anyone could relate to her, they would soon understand just how fascinating the topic of death was. Nobody really knew much about it, because as you die it's kind of hard to tell people what it's like. Then when you're dead, all your previous senses shrivel away into nothingness, and death remains even more a mystery than it ever was to begin with. Rose imagined it must be quite similar to losing conciousness or hallucinating - both things that she had experienced herself first hand, on numerous occassions.

And even now, as Rose waited for the girl to speak, thinking about dying and hallucinating, she sensed something was wrong. Rose was unsure what, before realising that everything about the current situation was wrong. As she refocused on the girl, she choked in shock. The girl was as still as ice, and her body was rigid as anything. But the expression on her face... there was no mistaking it to Rose. It was an expression that she had seen and experienced many times before. The girl was terrified, though it was unclear what exactly she was terrified of. Rose knew that it couldn't be her, as she had been here the whole time, and this was the first instance that the girl had registered fear. No, Rose knew immediately that it was something inside of the girl, eating her up and making herself question her saneness.

And really, what was more terrifying than wondering if tyou were crazy or not? It all depended on the type of person.

Just from looking at the girl, any normal person would leave straight away, terrified of what might happen next. But Rose was not normal, so she stayed rooted to the spot, her face only showing a slight trace of worry. Whatever the girl was dealing with, she had to do it alone. "You'll be alright," Rose whispered softly, and hoped for the girl's sake - and her own - that she was right.
