It was one of those days again. When the sky couldn't seem to make up it's mind on whether it was going to rain or not. The steely grey clouds shifted around restlessly as the air grew chilly, making the young girl from the Seam pull the sleeves of her hoodie over her hands to keep them warm. She sighed heavily tilting her head back softly, listening to the rumbling of the clouds... as if they were a disgruntled crowd, bumping into one another and just getting more and more angry at the surrounding people, wanting their own space. Naya couldn't help but wonder why the clouds gathered up in one place like that... they had the whole sky... why did they all gather up here? Was there something in the air that just drew them here? Maybe...
The dark-haired girl could almost feel the difference in the air. It was... something... almost electric. It was the same type of feeling that filled their house, ever since that asshole had moved in. Why her mother had picked him, out of all the men in the Seam, Naya would never understand. Even overlooking how his eyes roamed over her, the man was a pig of the lowest degree. That's why Naya spent most of her time out of the house nowadays. There was only so much she could take from Drake. Besides... now she had friends that... somehow understood her. Especially Forge.
They'd met a while back now, how long exactly she couldn't quite recall. From how comfortable she felt with him, you'd think they'd known eachother forever. For some reason, it was like he was the only one that had really seen her. She'd just been moving around the crowds, slipping her hand into whatever pocket that seemed to jingle enough to catch her eye. That's when she'd walked right into him. For a second Naya had thought Forge would rat her out to the peacekeepers... why wouldn't he? But... instead he just offered her a loaf of bread he'd managed to nick himself.
She ran her hand through her dark hair, smiling softly as she thought back to that day... only to hear footsteps approaching. She sat up on the big rock they'd adopted as their unofficial meeting spot, tilting her head softly as she recoginised the person, "Heya... whatcha been up to?"
