You're a jerk...I know.
[/blockquote][/blockquote]The career wasn't sure if carefree was the right word. He assumed being able to do anything you wanted to do could categorized itself as carefree, but didn't the world imply some sort of fun? Of course Galax did have fun occasionally, but most of the stuff he did, he did in a way to put on a show for his friends. His life was one continuous cycle of training, fake friends, pretend family, and more training. Fun was something he had to make for himself, it never found him naturally. Just then he stopped and thought about the current moment in time. Am I having fun? Sure enough he was enjoying Stella's company, and being in the water felt great, but was it fun? The boy then realized that maybe it was. Just maybe for the first time in his life he was legitimately doing something spontaneous and exciting and he didn't even have to fake it. It just happened.
It's not that they don't care, Galax spoke with an even tone. It's just...I'm not sure how to explain. It was hard to pour out his inner feelings with this complete stranger. Yeah, they were both half naked swimming together, but each of the careers knew they were playing mind games. Would it be weak of him to place some trust in the female and let her know a bit about himself? At this point does it even really matter? The brown eyed boy knew it didn't. So he decided to continue. Without me, my family ceases to exist. Yes I have younger siblings, but they're little brats and the only one my mother truly pays attention to is me. My father probably doesn't even know my name, so not coming home wouldn't really be an issue. In a way it's freedom in the sense that I could be someone renting space in my own home. Not the same freedom a parent would grant their child. And yeah, he added with a sigh, I guess it feels good.
Listening to the angel laugh brought a smile to the boys face. It was a funny juxtaposition in his opinion. She didn't seem the type to have a light and airy personality, so listening to her giggle was a rare event. Galax wasn't quite sure why she seemed to be opening up, but he did enjoy it. Tonight may as well continue to feel unreal, it made accepting it all the more simple. Waiting with baited breath as she moved closer to him he exhaled as she placed her head on his shoulder. It was a cute and simple gesture. He had been waiting all this time to be this close to her and the moment finally presented itself. Feeling her cheek against his shoulder he could tell she was cold. Man you're freezing, he exclaimed. Taking his strong arms he wrapped them gently around her waist to the middle of her back making sure not to trap her arms beneath his. He wanted to show her he wasn't aiming any lower than her upper back, and that she didn't need to feel trapped. Maybe my manly body heat will help, he added with a small chuckle.
Remaining in the position for some time he decided to rest his chin on the top of her head. Even in the water he could still tower over her. Inhaling her sweet scent he decided to ask her something in return. What about your parents? Aren't they going to freak when you get home? Hopefully she would say no, but Galax did want her to say yes. The image of her parents yelling at her and the angel removing a spear from behind her almost made him double back in laughter. Waiting for her to respond he removed his chin from her head an replaced it with his cheek instead. Hopefully the two careers wouldn't have to cut their time with one another short.
