Luke swayed slightly, and his eyes were seeing blurry. He felt paticularly high, and all bubbly inside. Urges he had never expirienced before tempted him. He just wanted more and more, but he knew he should give it a rest. He looked at Alana, and tried to keep himself balanced as he regained oxygen to his lungs. Relief came to his lungs, and restored his vision. He could now see Alana's face more clearly, and he smiled. Luke knew her face like the back of his hand now. He was glad too, he wanted to remember every perfect detail, from the softness of her eyes, ro the shade of her pink lips.
She leaned in, and he watched her closely. Her head was layed on his chest, and he enclosed her in his warmth. It was like a whole bubble of summer we created together.
"I just want to spend every second of the rest of my life with you."
Her voice was a sweet hum coming from his chest, and he felt her movements as she talked closely. It was music to his ears, and sent joy going through his body. It also got him thinking.
Rest of her life....
That was a long time. Or you know, he hoped it would be. There was a way though, for him and Alana to be together forever.....
Marriage...
But no, it was too soon to even think about that. He knew he was in love with her... Oh so very in love. And she must be in love with him too, to say a thing like that, right? But they had known eachother for maybe a week.. She didn't know him well enough.
Well you are having dinner with her family tonight..
That was a step toward marriage... But did he want to marry her?
Yes.
Of course that was the first thing that came to his head. He had never met a girl as pretty as her. Plus most of the pretty ones were either taken or snobs that would stick their noses up at him. Like he was trash.
The snow started to fall harder, and he knew soon you wouldn't be able to see anything 5 feet away from your face.
"We better get back to your house."
He smiled suddenly, feeling a bit michievious. Luke backed away from her, and motioned for her to follow him. He picked up the lid of a trashcan, and wiped it off. He gave it to Alana, who seemed to think he was crazy. He did the same again, and carried his trashcan lid over to a hill.
He yelled, laughing hysterically as he sat on his lid, and started to slide down the cobblestone hill. Joy made his fingertips warm as he gained speed going down the hill. The snow was so deep that the lid slid smoothly down, not touching the cobblestone once. Luke then glanced behind him for a second to see if Alana was coming too.
