Panama glanced behind at her words. It would be difficult to shake them, he had originally thought the woods would aid them. Unfortunately they were at a distinct disadvantage though, the Peacekeepers were familiar with the entire layout of Panem. Than an idea slowly began to form in his head, it was dangerous, but sometimes risks had to be taken to ensure freedom. He stopped and moved Alice infront of him and placed his hands on her arms.
"Alice, continue ahead without me. Just keep running ahead, I'll catch up. I'm going to deter these bufoons from following us, at least on foot. Just go and don't look back, don't look back for anything." He pushed her away and turned around without waiting to see if she moved. He hefted the trident in his hand experimentally and spun it around. The crashing footsteps of the Peacekeepers drew near and he drew his arm back ready to throw the trident. The first Peacekeeper came through the underbrush and as he did Panama threw the trident. It flew in a straight arc and hit the Peacekeeper head on and he dropped dead. Panama had no time to run and collect his weapon when the other Peacekeepers arrived.
He rushed at the first one catching him off guard and knocked him into the other one. From behind an iron grip grabbed Panama's arms and threw him. Crashing into a tree Panama gained focus just in time to avoid a punch from the Peacekeeper. Ducking below the blow he ran to retrieve his trident from the corpse. Once he retrieved it he ran, ran as fast as he could. Maybe his plan was stupid after all, he now had bruises and perhaps something broken from the impact with the tree.
