My First Friend [Katilynna]

The awkwardness when Kat's mother did not reach my hand, and just sat there like I was a complete fool made me feel weird inside. She only said a few words, then she collapsed onto the island in front of her. My whole body jumped out of fright, and I bit my lip at what has happened to Kat's mother. She was passed out, and Kat rushed over to lift her up Her mother is worse that I thought... I need to help her be a better mother. Helping Katilynna's mother to the couch was on my mind, but Kat already succeeded in doing that, and she was holding little Finnit in her hands. A grin crossed my face, since Finnit looked so peaceful when he was asleep. He reminded me of myself at my age, and then the nightmare came back..
~Quinten's Flashback~
I was only about 8 years old, and my family was waiting for my brother to come back from his day of hunting. My brother always has a positive attitude, even on the worse of days. My parents were enjoying watching me run outside, and jumping around, and just having fun. My brother soon arrived from his hunting, bringing in a huge turkey for our feast tonight. I ran into his arms, giving him the tightest hug I could. "Bubby! I missed you!" He picked up my tiny little body, and hugged me even tighter then I did. Multiple giggles came from my mouth, as he brought me inside with the family. We sat down around the table, while mother was preparing our meal of Turkey Sandwiches. My brother, Shalev, told us an amazing story about his hunting day, and how he discovered a forbidden lake just outside of District 12. He was bringing up a plan of escaping to District 13, since there were rumors of a underground area, but then, there was a knock at the door.
"I'll Get It." My brother rushed to the door, and creaked it open. There were 3 peacekeepers standing in their disgusting white outfits, and they all had grins on their faces when they saw Andrew. "Just the man we were looking for. You are under arrest for Illegal hunting, and sparking a rebellion." My mother screeched when she saw the peacekeepers handcuffing Andrew, and dragging him from the house. My little mind could not cross what was happening, but mommy was crying and father was trying to hold her back. At the time, I thought he was just playing cops and robbers with the men in the white suits, but I soon found not he wasn't....[/color]
~Quinten's Flashback [FIN]~
Before my mind got to the worst part, I snapped back to reality, as Katilynna started to speak to me. "I'm so sorry... I'm sorry if this is too much to handle, I get it..." My eyes caught right back into Kat's, those eyes were just... extraordinary. Nothing was never enough for me to handle, I mean, if you live in District 12, you have to be tough, no matter what. The sadness from my flashback disappeared slowly, as Kat got closer to me. My nervousness started to come back, because I started to thing she was going to kiss me. Keep it calm, let her control your lips, and don't do anything stupid. My theory was wrong, but she still kissed me on the cheek. When her lips landed on my cheek, I was taken to another world. Her lips has such a strong touch of softness, and it felt like a thousand tons of stress was lifted right off my shoulders when it happened. My lips let out a sigh of relief, as I felt really good now. All the pains, stress, and nervousness melted away, and I knew right then and there, I wanted to make her Mrs.Pizzaro, my future wife.
I expected her to come up to my face again and kiss my lips, but she just stood there, looking into my eyes. Is it my turn to make a move? Oh my goodness, what do I do? Kiss, hug, nothing? I stood there in the bitter awkwardness of the silence, and a nervous grin swished across my face. This would be my first kiss, lip to lip, and I didn't know how to go into it. It can't be too long, but it shouldn't be cut too short. My head bobbed down to her face, and I felt no where near confident about what I was about to do. Just... Go with your heart. A cool wind of the spring air rushed into Kat's hair, and I put my hand in her hair, and moved her head closer to mine, with the lightest touch I could. Clearing everything from my mind, I locked my lips with hers. A spark inside was set off, and I could feel my sexual temptations creep up on me, but I was cherishing the moment, cause It may never happen again. Her lips tasted like fresh dandelions, straight from the fields. I shed a tear, because my brother would be so proud that I finally found the girl of my dreams.
I locked lips for a solid 8 seconds, before letting loose. I wanted to kiss her again, and again, until he end of the world. All I could do now is look back into her eyes, and let out a smile. I actually enjoyed it, my first kiss. I struggled to find the next words to say, because Katilynna may be in total shock at what I just did. I looked back at the kids, who didn't really notice what occurred, and were just being kids. Having fun, playing with each other, everything I didn't have in my childhood. My eyes locked back with Kat's and the only thing I could say was.. "Thank you.. So much."
