Misfit Mafia Joins The Circus (D2 Plot?)(Char)

I'ma clarify a couple things real quick-like, because I think my vagueness is confusing.

This isn't a literal circus, simply characters inspired by the circus. So, a bearded lady character wouldn't actually be forced into a sideshow act, but would instead be something more along the lines of a girl with a beard that has made her an outcast with most other kids — the same applies to everyone. It's just a group of kids who have bonded over their oddities and, the ones who are careers, can train for the Games together and the ones who aren't careers can just hang out and be outcasts together.

Mkay. I hope I'm making sense, my brain is a bit muddled right now. D:

@matt - I've been meaning to read Water For Elephants, I need to get on that ASAP. She could actually run away and join Cricket's family if you want — they're free spirited hippies who would be totally on board with taking in displaced kids. XD Oh gosh, dancers who break their legs are so tragic. MAI CREYS.

plantix - Oh gosh, I really like the puppet idea. That's adorable. You could have so much fun with blame games: "No, I didn't say it! The puppet said that." Pftlol.

jimmylost - We talked about it a bit on the cbox before, but I'll say it again here: Love the idea of her empty house being their headquarters, makes way more sense than what I was trying to plot in my head before. I'm pretty sure you mentioned her being a gossip who fronts as a fortune teller before? She and Cricket should be really close friends - kind of like the Misfit Mafia's founding members (perhaps along with Matt's charrie, who could have run away to live with one/both of them)? Like a secret society! OMFG. I love secret societies. Yes. Misfit Mafia needs to be a straight-up secret society.

plantix - Yes, for sure. If you've got ideas, this is the place to share them. c:

Serenity - That's a lot of skills to weave together, but as long as you can make it realistic, then yeah. Just make sure you can justify their skill level in relation to their age and their background story. Feeling no pain is such an influential trait to begin with and would have a lot of psychological effects on them. Where/why would he get a bed of nails? Learning to juggle swords and such would take years and years and be extremely dangerous in combination with an insensitivity to pain (you wouldn't always know when you're injured), etc. It's why I've been recommending people take a less circus-literal approach, so you don't end up with a massive list of complex factors to justify. Love the mind-over-matter aspect though, so I think your core idea is great.
