The Legend of Korra
[/size]So, upon suggesting this plot briefly in the c-box, I received quite the response from many people. And so, I decided to make it. This is the Legend of Korra plot of District 3. Now, since so many people seemed interested, I’ve decided to make this an application process. If you’d like a character, please apply for them using the code below. I’m looking more for how you think you can develop the character and what ideas you have for them rather than personal ability.[/color]
Here’s the plot: If you’re familiar with the show, you’ll know that Korra, Bolin and Mako are pro-benders and fight in an arena. Well, I’ve decided to modify that: Sick and tired of being left in the dust by Districts 1, 2 and 4, the youths of District 3 have decided its time to take matters into their own hands. Secretly, they’ve been training as Careers and fighting each other in this underground arena (basically an old warehouse) as preparation, having real tournaments and real awards. The only problem? Ex-Peacekeeper ~Amon~ knows and doesn’t believe in fighting in such a way. He believes that those of District 3 should be equal. No one better than the other, especially regarding fighting skill. And he’s prepared to do whatever he can, with his base of supporters, to undermine anyone in District 3 who believes they can be better than another. So, here are the characters:
1. Korra
Age: 17
Female
Korra is rebellious, instinctive, talented, eager and hotheaded. She lives with Tenzin and his family. Reasons for her living with him are entirely up to the owner. She’s friends with Bolin and Mako (relationships up to the owner) and is an active part of the fighting group, The Fire Ferrets. She’s always felt a close connection with water, fire and earth, but not as much as air.
2. Mako
Age: 18
Male
Mako is the protective older brother to Bolin. He is aloof and indifferent, but also calm and collected. He only occasionally shows his soft side. He and his brother’s living accommodations vary (up to the owner) as they are poor. He’s in a relationship with Asami, but may or may not have feelings for Korra (up to owner). He always felt a connection to fire/lightning. His red scarf must be with him at all times.
3. Bolin
Age: 16
Male
Bolin is Mako’s baby brother. A lot looser than Mako, Bolin is always ready to have fun. However, he can be a bit naïve and can often get himself into trouble. He also loves to have girls on his arm and has expressed feelings for Korra. These feelings may or may not be still present (up to owner). Bolin has always felt a connection to earth.
4.Lin Beifong: Rosetta
Age: 50
Female
A Peacekeeper like her mother, Lin is strict and tough. She is all for enforcing laws and punishing those who break them. She has never liked Korra for her knack for breaking the rules, but she does have a softer side and genuinely cares for District Three. She’s always felt a connection with earth and a deeper connection with metal. She still has feelings for Tenzin, an old boyfriend.
5. Tenzin
Age: 51
Male
Tenzin has close-ties to the mayor of District Three and works as a sort of consultant, helping to make decisions for the District. He’s stern, protective and serious, but can also be humorous at times. He, like his father, is a bit of a kid at heart. He cares a lot for his pregnant wife, Pema, and his children as well as Korra though he doesn’t approve of her fighting. He may or may not still have feelings for Lin, an old girlfriend (up to owner). He’s always felt a connection to the air.[/color]
6.Amon
Age: Unknown (adult)
Male
Little is known about this mysterious, charismatic masked leader. Rumors have it that he’s an ex-Peacekeeper, bent on keeping District 3 in order and everyone equal, in that he means to crush anyone who wants to get better than another. He’s even gone as far to speak out against the current Peacekeeper force, believing that they think they’re better than everyone else. It’s odd, really, it’s almost as if he wants everyone to be equal but himself…(up to owner…anything, really!) Amon is skill at using pressure points to disable a person.
7.Asami Sato: Stare
Age: 17
Female
Beautiful Asami has always gotten everything she’s wanted. Her father helped to develop automobiles that don’t use any non-renewable resources and though they were quickly seized by the Capitol, they still receive a considerable amount of money for her father’s ingenious work. She’s extremely sweet and caring, as well as down to earth, but can have a jealous streak if she sees someone moving in on her boyfriend, Mako. Her father may or may not be an Equalist.[/color]
Alright, so I’m leaving a lot of wiggle room here especially for Amon. I will acknowledge that Amon has a Lieutenant who helps him carry out his dirty work. I am not formally assigning that. Whoever gets Amon, I will trust them to privately speak to those interested in creating/having their characters as Equalists. The same goes for the youths who train secretly. If you do not get a spot, do not despair. You can always use an existing character as either an Equalist (speak to Amon) or just a youth who wants to learn to fight and wants to tussle with the Fire Ferrets. Just please don’t go overboard. Please PM me if you’d like to take part in any of this.
Also, please don’t use their exact names. Change up the names a bit. I will accept SOME similar sounding names (I’ll probably use Lynn for Lin), but also remember that it’s okay to change them!

Also, please remember, there is no such thing as bending in Panem or anything like it. They're just normal people who happen to have the same traits as the characters of Legend of Korra Be realistic, please!
