She has forever lived in District Nine [9].
She is seventeen years of age.
<><><><><><><><><><><>Appearance<><><>
Luna's hair is not something that would normally stand out. There were plenty of others in the district with black hair just like hers. During the day, as she walks among crowds, she is just another girl with long, silky, straight black hair that flows down to just above the center of her back. Perhaps people would consider it beautiful if almost half the District Nine population had hair that looked very much the same.
Her face doesn't really stand out that much either. It has a certain look innocence in the soft yet elegant curves of her cheekbones. Her nose is rather small and thin, running it's course down her face before gently ending just above small, pale lips. The entire thing, always free of make up, is definitely very plain and gentle.
Her chin hides part of her neck, which appears long. It's slightly thin, and is free of scars, which can not be said for the rest of her. Her neck curves gently into her small shoulders, leading onto skinny arms which have a slight bulk of muscel. Her hands are small and scarred from years of hunting, yet her fingers are long and graceful, with ten perfect oval shaped nails.
Her torso curves inward greatly, the consequence of a life of hunger. Many would say that thin is a good thing, although to Luna, it's horrible. She hates the way that she can see her ribs standing out in her skin.
Her legs are long and strong, mostly from walking in the woods and climbing trees so often. They are the only part of her that is not just skin and bones, which she is grateful for. Her feet are small, like her hands, with long toes.
Luna's skin is extremely pale, simply because she spends all her time outside at night. In the sunlight, it is akward and overly pale, making her stand out.
At night, though, Luna seems to transform. Pale white skin becomes shimmering and beautiful in the moonlight. Plain black hair seems to have strands of silver and blue hidden among the get black. She seems to come alive, a girl made out of stardust and moonlight.
But all of her features pale in comparison to her eyes. Thick black lashes draw attention to them, and then you can't look away. Her irises are a beautiful shade of navy blue that slowly fades into a ring of blue violet around the outside, matching the shade of the night sky perfectly. Tiny specks of silver in them make them look just like a window to the midnight stars. They light up when she laughs, and seem to darken when she's angry. They're different than any other in District Nine, and probably Panem. They have a haunting beauty and mystery in them that makes Luna look exactly like the midnight girl inside.<><><>Personality<><><>
Luna loves the night. She loves the way the air is cooler and crisper, and the way that everything is hidden and secretive and quiet. She comes alive at night, in the woods. Just one breath of the fresh air sends an ice cold energy through her, making her thoughts crystal clear and everything else just waits as she runs into the midnight.
Yet she can't stay in her perfect land forever. As daylight comes and the dark fades away, so does Luna. She fades back into herself, becoming a quiet, uncertain girl who knows a few too many secrets. She avoids others because their stares make her uncomfortable, and keeps to herself. She has learned from past mistakes that getting too attached to another person can be dangerous for both her and them.
However, friendship is not something that can be avoided entirely.
It is in human nature to want to have others for support. While Luna never was one to hang around other people, she ended up making a few friends anyway. She worships these friendships, but is also terrified of them, as she has learned pain comes from friendship.
While she is often afraid, Luna often is calm and collected during dangerous situations. She thinks and acts quickly, as a result of chasing prey down for so many years. However, she is only reliable to a person if she trusts them, which is not something that comes easily for Luna. She is extremely cautious, because she knows she can't handle being betrayed. It's a weakness she hates very much.
There is guilt, too, in Luna. She has made too many mistakes, and too many people have paid for them. Maybe that's one of the reasons she keeps to herself. Maybe not. Either way, the feeling of regret is not foreign to Luna.<><><>History<><><>
