Logan Labonte
Three days. Three long, horrible, tedious days. That's how long it had been since Logan had seen Roxie. Not met with, but seen at all. There was no passing her on the streets, no watching her as she made her calls, nothing. For the past three days, Roxie had fallen completely off the radar. Or at least, was flying under Logan's radar.
He had met with Roxie each Wednesday for the past several months now, it had kind of become their thing. Surely, there was no possible way that she would pass this day up. Wednesdays were public days. She'd always come to his place, dressed down a tone from her usual attire, and they would go out on the town. It was never much, dinner, a movie or something else similar. It was never one of "those" calls though. Wednesday was all about keeping up with the public appearance. Wednesday was about being seen, looking happy, and keeping Six-Nation from starting to wonder about what really went on inside the man's head.
Roxie had a knack for being at his place at least fifteen minutes before their scheduled meeting time. He liked to think it was because she thought more highly of him than of all her other calls, when in truth is was just something she did because she knew she was fixing to hit a good payday. Logan probably did pay a prettier penny than the rest of the calls, but he would gladly pay more for her visits. He would pay the world for her visits, or more. She had that kind of hold on him. He would kill for her, if she asked him too. Logan wasn't even a violent man.
This Wednesday was different. He had wondered, after not seeing her in so long, if today would be different, but he just kept telling himself "No, things are fine. Everything is just fine, she's probably just not feeling well." It was five after seven now though, and his beloved Roxie was still nowhere to be seen. The man paced back and forth slowly in his livingroom, dressed and ready to go. Whether he was going on his usual date, or on a hellbent mission that wouldn't stop until he found Roxie, well... that was still to be determined. Roxie had five more minutes, then the search began.
