They come and go
As if they're someone else's days
They come and leave you behind with someone else's face
And it's harsher than yours
And colder than yours

There are five people who were out in the fields that night. Five people who, for whatever reason, decided to stay out long after the burning sun vanished beneath the horizon and left the opalescent moon to rule the sky in its absence. Five people who sank their feet into the cool earth and were audience to the dancing stars above. Five people who heard the scream. Five people who panicked, who crashed through the tall grasses back toward their homes. Five people who woke up the next morning to find Peacekeepers at their door, reporting to them that they were a suspect in the case of the murder of one Emily Spinner. Five people who are now drawn together by coincidence and must work together desperately to put the pieces of a young woman's broken life together before they are all taken to the Capitol to become the dreaded silent servants. There is only one key difference between those five.

Four of them are innocent, and one of them is a murderer.

Hello, my name is: La-La-Lalia.

My character's name is: Valkyrie Wilde, voodoo princess extraordinaire.

My ideas are: Valkyrie doesn't work in the fields, but she's a voodoo priestess in training, so she would likely be in the fields chasing faeries or communicating with spirits or something. She literally communicates with the dead at times, so she'd be highly interested in this murder madness to begin with (to put the ghost of the deceased at peace), but especially if she were accused then she would turn into the voodoo magick Nancy freaking Drew of District Eleven. She would definitely want to gather the other suspects up for rituals as a means of investigation and would probably totally weird most if not all of them out. Although she is perhaps the least likely person to take a life in reality, she would most likely top the list of people's suspicions simply because of her infamously strange habits and shamelessly abrasive personality.

I think Emily Spinner was killed because: Valkyrie's pretty sure the devil hisself swallowed up someone's soul for a moment with the promise of a deal. He wanted a life and the person who gave it to him didn't have the guts to trade their own, so they gave him someone else's. She senses their greed more than their remorse.

I'd also like to say: This is an awesome plot idea. Also, I love your writing. Also also, I've really been wanting to write with Valkyrie more lately and did I mention this is an awesome plot idea.

My character's name is: Devon Creighton,

My ideas are:Well Devon can be in the fields and see something happen. He can cause problems and also act a little crazy so a lot of the people can think of him as the killer or something. He would easily place the blame on someone who is crazy, so he would gather people around and maybe turn it into a mob or group to find the killer. He wouldn't be afraid to take a life, but it would have to be a morale thing, so maybe he could have done it, but not even know it. ~~ok this sucks, i suck at apps~~

Hello, my name is: Cait !

My character's name is: Belle Calloway

My ideas are: Belle often spends late nights out, venturing past the fields in which she works during the day. See, Belle has these major attacks that can come at any time of any day, kind of like manic episodes where she goes into an uncontrollable state of madness and becomes delirious against her own will. She often ventures out late at night, away from the safety of her house, where nobody can witness her in these states, and also so she does not cause any harm to those surrounding her. It’s only expected that she would be a suspect in the case, as in her stages of fits Belle can be known to get quite violent. Fingers would be pointed her way, as it’s no secret that she’s not all there, if you know what I mean. It would be interesting reacting with the other suspects, as she doesn’t get along with others very well, and she’d develop an even bigger sense of paranoia for the course of the investigation, always having the feeling that someone is keeping a close eye on her, closer than usual.

I think Emily Spinner was killed because: I’m not sure who killed Emily Spinner, or how it was done, but Belle would imagine that the killer was only doing Emily a favour. Considering that both the murderer and the victim are from District 11, they’re already living in hell, and Belle sees Emily’s death as a godsend, as now she’s in a better place and can be put out of her misery.

I'd also like to say: I don’t know if this has been done before, but if not idk why it hasn’t been because this sounds so amazing and you’re flawless <3.

i always used to be into writing sort of modern abstract

Hello, my name is: Danny

My character's name is: Axsoa Saerio ~~his bio isn't exactly outdated, it's just reallyreally bad.~~

My ideas are: Axsoa is a pretty introverted kid, but he's friendly. He just chooses not to socialize, but when he does he's thoughtful, and sometimes things can slip from his mouth. In tough situations, he holds his composure well and won't throw people under the bus. There's always the person in situations like this that'll be so calm it's a bit suspicious, and Axsoa will most likely be that person, but because his sister has been judged numerous times on something she can't control, he's vowed not to judge anyone on ANYTHING.

I think Emily Spinner was killed because: The best I can think of - depending on the murderer - is that Emily startled them, and they instinctively killed her.

I'd also like to say: Pretty much what Lalia said.

My character's name is: Khiyyi Song, ok sorry her bio sucks. It was a CBD. ~~I promise my RPing is better than that.~~

My ideas are: Khiyyi literally never gives herself a break, working both day and night, so it is very likely that you'd find her on her way to her night job or working in the fields late. Or maybe she was just out with Axsoa [Danny's character, because they're like kinda almost together <3] She has this whole "it's all my fault" thing going because she thinks she caused her parents' deaths, so I could literally see Khiyyi TRYING to find a way to blame it on herself. She thinks that this is life's way of getting back at her for her past. She might even end up attempting to admit to the crime just because she thinks she deserves to take the blame ~~although y'know, Axsoa could always hold her back or something.~~

My character's name is: Odette Terrion

My ideas are: Odette just loves to paint, and that was the reason she was out their that night. She was just painting and viewing the stars and painting on her little pad. Night has been her favorite time since she was a girl and this night was no different. But on this particular night she was was wondering about her ex-boyfriend. Who got a thrill out of beating women, who enjoyed watching Odette on the floor sobbing as he kicked her. And maybe that night she wanted to know how some one could get enjoyment out of that. Maybe she decide to find out. And maybe Emily Spinner was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I think Emily Spinner was killed because: Like I mentioned above. She most likely was at the wrong place at the wrong kind. Whoever was the killer most likely had a bad day.

I'd also like to say: I know I'm new and all that but mystery is my thang. And I really want to experiment with RPing. Just give me a chance and I won't disappoint! Oh and this idea is amazing!

Hello, my name is: Zoë, nice to meet you ^^

My character's name is: Flynn Halder, who likes little children, trees and apologizes frequently.

My ideas are: Mkay well Flynn is really clumsy, so I could totally see him just chilling in the fields looking at stars and getting a break at night from his siblings and accidentally stumbles upon this group of people like 'Oh hey guys, sorry for disturbing you I-' and then BAM screaming starts. So even though he's not really good at interacting with people his age, he could maybe take on the sort of 'leader' aspect? Eg: telling everybody that you can't make a sound, and all of a sudden he becomes really serious as if he was telling a child off for something they did wrong. (Idk, character development? Because inside he'd be crapping his pants about the whole thing but know that he has to keep a level head so yeah.) They'd all have to meet in super-secret because if they all get caught together that's gonna look reeeally suspicious so they could arrange meetings and be generally sneaky.

I think Emily Spinner was killed because: Crazy vengeful attack on someone else's daughter for lost money/love/life? Perhaps she was just chilling in the fields and got unlucky.

I'd also like to say: I haven't used Flynn up until now so this is great for character development, also you're fab, this plot is fab, etc. etc.

Okay, guys, sorry it took me so long to get stuff together. xD Seeing as Belle Calloway has been reaped, a place has been reopened to the plot, so I'm allowing for applications for that spot once again. ^^ If you didn't make it in the first time and you'd like to try again (which I highly, highly encourage since the original decision was so difficult), feel free to just post saying "reapplying", and I'll look at your first application. Hello, my name is: Damen

My character's name is: Demeter Legume

My ideas are: Demeter is the Mayor of District Eleven and so it wouldn't be uncommon for him to be checking the fields to make sure that all things were settled before work was finished for the evening. He's a very hands on mayor which is why he's well liked, as noted in his mini bio that was made by the staff. So he's going to want to figure out what happened, not only because he needs to ensure that justice is upheld in his District but also because he's genuinely concerned about everything that had occurred. A natural leader. Could be interesting to see how that works with the other characters. Being the mayor and having a fairly good relationship with the Peacekeepers, one might place blame on him since he has such an easy way of getting away with it. Idk I'm just rambling.

I think Emily Spinner was killed because: She was at the wrong place at the wrong time, just like the other five.

I'd also like to say: Thought I'd at least give applying a shot. Idk, thought about how I could actually get some RPing in with Demeter. Good luck with the decision ^^

My character's name is: Ailis Farrow

My ideas are: Ailis is a free spirit, which is quite ironic to say when you live in District Eleven. She hates the Peacekeepers and would do anything to get away from them. It usually involves climbing trees, but there are those nights where the open fields would seem to be the better option. It has been her habit for years, despite constant warnings from her siblings, and so far so goo- and then she heard a scream. She certainly isn't the most calm nor brave person there is (if she's anything close, it would be recklessness) and run around trying to find a way out, until she stumbles across the group and she's suddenly far deeper in. She knows she's innocent, she does, but others aren't quite sure. Not with her short temper and the nagging feeling she gets when she just knows someone's looking at her that turns her actions erratic, maybe those pointed fingers in her direction may have a good reason after all.

I think Emily Spinner was killed because: Ailis has all the possibilities in her head, and it ranges from vengeance, envy and the possibility someone around here might not be quite right up there.

I'd also like to say: This is a long shot, but it's fantastic plot anyway <333

My character's name is: Imelda Elwyn

My ideas are:

"I hear she shatters the hearts of whoever speaks with her."

"Well, I hear that she steps on anything for power."

"She can't be right in the head. Beautiful, yes, but have you seen the way she stares at the sky? She acts like she was born from it."

There is no doubt that the citizens of District 11 have taken into account the dark ways of Imelda Narcisse Elwyn; the girl from the farthest edge of the District who has an obsession with power. Boys run home to their mothers in agony of how she cuts them down; young women swallow back jealousy as she stares them down with a smirk. Imelda has a slight Goddess complex in which she believes everyone else is below her; all others are just damned mortals who shall be trapped in this tomb we call Earth. They shall rot as Imelda rises up to be one with the skies.

So, when walking home one day after breaking another heart, Imelda stumbles upon the group. She quickly turns her nose and starts to walk away; back to the nature and her sisters that need her. But, that's when she realizes it; she realizes it just as the screams start... She's a part of this now.

Fingers fly in her direction; in the direction of the sky obsessed girl who is willing to climb upon any mere mortal just to get closer to the sky and obtain power. She knows she didn't do it, she had no reasons to the kill the girl. But, out of everyone in the group, Imelda has the darkest air.

She quickly tries to charm her way out, using her false serenity as a mask. But will anyone buy it? Or will Imelda's dark habits come back to bite her?

The heart breaking Queen of the Skies is just a little too in over her head.

Emily Spinner was a carefree young girl, naive and kind. She didn't mean to loose her life that day; she didn't mean to follow the man into the fields of corn. He had just seemed so nice; as nice as any friendly stranger should be.

However, poor Emily Spinner was not prepared for the hell that would soon unfold. [removed.] Her screams were echoing through the vast District, before he smashed her head with a rock and silenced her.

Poor Emily Spinner; naivety killed the little girl.

I'd also like to say: I WANT TO THREAD WITH YOU, OMR! I, LIKE, ADORE YOU! PLUS: I WANT TO USE IMELDA AND THIS COULD CAUSE FOR GREAT CHARACTERIZATION! I KNOW THIS APP' SUCKS, BUT PLEASE CONSIDER! <3
