Personality:
Cleo is a rather small fellow, and her legs are long compared to her short torso. Quite a skinny girl, too, being an Avox and all. She is five feet and five point seven inches, or one hundred sixty seven cenimeters tall. And her weight, which isn't visable, but is a physical quality, and is one hundred and ten pounds. Now, that she is an avox, her body is covered in multiple scars. Whipping marks paint a picture of sorrow across her back. To one side, to the other, up, and down. She's covered in lashes, all of her back. Bruises polka dot her left arm, and there's a long scratch up her right leg. Of course, her master does not let blood cover her visable body, because that would look gruesom. So that is cleaned off, just so the scars can be left behind for punishments and bad memories. Lets just say that her "master" is slightly more evil than the average Capitolite, obviously.
She prefers to keep her hair short, though she has grown it out every once in a while. Her hair is naturally brown, but was dyed for the pleasure of the Capitol people. Her bangs are now golden, flipping over her face every once in a while. The eyes that are hidden by those bangs are brown, full of dread and depression and sorrow, and the chip in her eye is the tiniest hope that she can escape this terrible, terrible world. Cleo doesn't like her nose, she thinks its too flat, but yes, it is indeed there, like every normal persons face. Under her nose is a light pink pair of lips, that used to bare a smile every day, but is now bent into an odd line across her face, because avoxes smiles are forbidden. Her face is like the rest of her body, pale with no freckles, but maybe a beauty mark here or there.
She has been called beautiful, because of her eyes, but that was before Cleo lived a life of torture. Her eyes used to sparkle like stars, and matched with a perfect smile, she was beautiful. She really was. But the days of happiness are all over now, and now her appearance could just change more and more.
rebelliousHistory:
Cleo is trying her best to rebel. Because she knows Arryn is somewhere. She wasn't exactly a rebel before, so she had no reason to become an Avox, obviously. But, the deeds she commits now are worthy of Avox punishment. When she became a toy in the game of Capitol torture, she started to see things a little more clearly. That maybe the world wasn't full of all adventures and happiness and joy. Having fun, seeing new things, painting the world around her. Cleo was very optimistic back in the district, so blind that she couldn't even see what a dark world she was living in. She understood the Hunger Games, but she thought that she could change it. That thought didn't stay in her head, often, though, she was too busy seeing new meadows and new buildings. And then painting them, of course. Now adays she smiles on purpose and pokes people higher than her, sometimes even purposely messing up. Not caring for a beating. Because, she thought that maybe someday, she could do something to shake the whole Capitol. Or, maybe the whole Panem.
loving
Cleo is a very caring soul, who loves the innocent people and is always open to help even if it hurts her. She never fought with anyone back in the District. She is full of kindness and love, although with the love thing, that's a completely different type from the love love of boys. Of Arryn. Her Arryn. She rarely loved people that way, and she was truly happy when her and Arryn started dating. When she was sure he actually loved her back. As the Capitol destroyed that, she began to show her first signs of hatred, but who didn't hate the Capitol?
Coming from this love is deep hope and longing. Longing that someone with love her back for once. Hoping That Arryn is alive, that she can see him him again. When she was separated from him, she noticed how much she really loved him. Even more than she though that she had loved him before. As they say, "You never know how much someone means to you until you let them go."
adventurous
Cleo Smith had an enormous lust for adventure. To see something new, and catch the image in her mind. She wanted to see the world so badly. All of it. She wanted to just hop on a train that was being built in six. and go wherever it was going. She wanted to see the districts, maybe even the Capitol. But, now, she's seen enough of the Capitol. Cleo still loves to adventure, even if if hurts her in her new home. Wherever she is in the Capitol, she can't help but stray away every once in a while to see something new. She paints her newer discoveries in an old notebook she keeps in her pocket with Capitol makeup.
depressed
This shouldn't really be all that hard to explain, honestly, because if all these things happened to you, would you find it hard to smile? To be happy all on your own? I mean, come on, Cleo has no one, is mute, covered in horrible scars, and has a depressing past.
You don't wanna know, you don't wanna know.Codeword: odair
Cleo was born into a large family in the transportation district. Also known as district six. The Smith family was a family of seven. There was Cleo's mother and father, then there was Cleo, of course. Her four siblings were all girls. From oldest to youngest, there was Valentina, Miko, Phoebe, and Ariana. They were a troublesome group of girls. Cleo with her adventures, Miko and Phoebe with their stealing from shops, Ariana with her bad grades and Valentina with her "Mystery Solving".
Throughout all of her life, Cleo loved to go on adventures and explore new places. This was because one of the few things she could find peace in was painting. And she loved to paint pictures of far off places that no one had seen but her. Her and whoever she was exploring with. Some people liked to consider her a artistic prodigy, but she was a terrible drawer. Painting was her only artistic skill. She ran her family down on money at holidays, begging for new paints and maybe a real canvas instead of the old dirty paper or walls in the district that Cleo usually used.
It was around Middle school age that Cleo sat next to a cute boy in her class. It rarely happened that she thought someone was attractive, so she kept quiet for a while so she wouldn't ruin it for herself. A while later, her and the boy, Arryn Jakson, were close to best friends. They spent lots of time together, hanging out, and going on adventures. She really did apprecitae that Arryn agreed to go on adventures with her. All her female friends always seemed to shun her when she asked them to come. But Arryn always agreed to go with her with a sweet smile. After a while, they started to date.
Cleo really loved him now. She seriously enjoyed his company. One day, she was exploring without him, to see if she could surprise him for what she estimated to be their anniversary. When she saw an old, large building, she was so excited she just gave it a made up name, calling it a Warehouse, and ran home. She told Arryn everything, and soon they were standing right in front of it. She knew there had to be some sort of treasure in there, and she couldn't figure out why her fellow adventurer looked so disappointed. Cleo flung open the left side of the double doors only to find a couple off Capitol junkies hauling around boxes of Morphling. Bottles shattered, and before Cleo and Arryn could think their arms were pulled behind their backs by the Capitolites. Soon they were in the Head Peacekeepers office, and Cleo's eyes were watery. She had no idea how Arryn wasn't on the verge of tears, too.
The lead Peacekeeper, who was a friend of a friend of one of the men, was looking straight through Cleo's soul with a cold stare. The thefts told him that Cleo and Arryn assaulted them as they were carrying supplies to the Capitol. Which, technically, they didn't. And Cleo knew she was about to just get in trouble and be punished for something that she never did. The Peacekeepers didn't even hesitate to telling the two that they would become Avoxes. She couldn't hold them back much longer, and Cleo soon burst into tears.
Things went fast for a while. Blurry images of rainbow like characters watched her being escorted from building to building. She hardly remembered the tongue surgery, because she tried to erase it from her mind. She remembered each time she tried to talk to someone, though, and the bob in the back of her mouth vibrated awkwardly. Her and Arryn were put in an orphanage for training servants without families in the capitol. Cleo often longed to speak with someone, though her nearest companion was Arryn. She wrote on a little notepad of hers someties to communicate with him or anyone else. As a hirer for a new warehouse walked through, Arryn was chosen to join him in the warehouse. Cleo reached out to touch his hand one last time, but her finger only touched the back of a capitolites leather jacket. For touching the man without permission, she was pulled away and beaten. A year or so after that, when she declared herself clinically depressed because of lonliness, inability to talk, and various beating, she was taken to a large house owned by a single father of four, where she was bound to be a servant forever. But, the father was deeply ill, so who knows?
Comments/Other:
Arryn Jakson is played by Jay, who gave me permission to make this character (:
I didn't know where to put this, but she writes in a little notepad to communicate.
