The guy didn't answer right away, which didn't exactly matter to Kirin. Now she was focused on Mollee, who'd ran up to him and sort of...slammed him back to the ground, one foot placed on his body. Anyone could say that Mollee was rash, but Kirin was impressed. And strangely ticked. Either Mollee was very confident of her skills, or she was full of herself. Haughty. Or paranoid. Either way, Kirin didn't like overconfident people.
She watched as the guy - Tom - and Mollee exchanged a few words, not quite paying attention. They seemed to be doing fine without her input, not that Kirin bothered to think too much on that. Now she was glancing around the forest, training her eyes on the area where Tom had come from. While the two were talking about Tom's past (which she did pay attention to), Kirin ambled over to the spot and stared deep into it.
Nothing here. Eyebrows raised, she turned back to the other two. Tom had already guessed that Mollee was from District Six. Smart guy. "Hey," Kirin said to him, crossing her arms. She wasn't quite settled down by the guy's abrupt arrival. "Why were you running? In a hurry to go somewhere?" She didn't bother to ask if someone was chasing him, or else he or she would've already arrived by now. And still, Kirin didn't see anything from the dark area.
Before Tom could answer though, something jumped out of the bushes, something grey and furry. Kirin acted on instinct; this was a random animal, not someone who just ran into a tree. She took this situation differently. Taking in a deep breath, Kirin grabbed onto the hilt of the dagger in her belt, spinning it directly into a throwing motion, aiming the blade at the wolf's neck as it ran toward Tom. But before she could do anything, she heard Tom yell something. "Don't hurt her! The wolf is with me!"
Scowling, Kirin didn't lower her arm. "That changes things," she said to Tom. Although she didn't throw it, she still had the blade out. Tom might know the wolf, but that didn't mean it wasn't going to attack her.
((ooc: Sorry, longish post. Had to get caught up on the scheme of things. Dx))[/blockquote]
