Strange Encounter (open to anyone)

...but two can play this game.
"I've been wandering since my childhood, and when so much has happened to you in such a short amount of time, you're bound to forget the meaningless things. Like where you come from."

I smiled back. "Fine, you got me. I came from District 2, but I've lived for a period of time in each district. In a way, I come from all of them." If you know what I mean, I thought.

I shrug; just as long as I do less talking, I'm fine. "Sure. Sounds like a fair trade."

"Very interesting past. A runaway, huh?" By now, every part of me was screaming at me to just spit out some lies and leave. But there was just SOMETHING about this boy...
Boy; why boy? He looked about the same age as me. It's probably just habit.
"The Capitol and Peacekeepers have always been my enemy. If there's anybody I won't work for, it's them. Unless, of course, they pay me an obscenly high price." Good, I got away with the District 2 thing. But I can let out some truth here, just as long as I stay away from talking about Lester. "Peacekeepers raided my house when I was young. They didn't even say anything, they just went ahead and killed my parents before I could blink. It's ironic, how the Reaping saved me that night." I smiled a sardonic smile. "I was getting my clothes in order upstairs. By the time I found my parents, they'd already started to look for me. I ran away undetected, setting the house on fire as a diversion. One of the peacekeepers got severely burned and died. A few years later, I killed the other two for revenge."

I laughed. "Oh, very different indeed. Some say that I'd win the Hunger Games in three days exactly. It's possible, as the tributes are all far more brainless than us wanderers. But I'm really not in the mood to test that. I've come to far to go back; after all, who'd take an assasin as a daughter?" I said with a light tone.

I shoot and arrow straight up and hold out the apple. The arrow comes zipping down and hits the apple dead on.
"Knowledge," I said, ripping the arrow out. "I learned the values and prices of various goods, as well as how to distinguish genuine and replica things, in District 1. From 2, I learned various remedies and tricks when it came to medicine. In 3, I picked up some things about technology and how things work. 4, I got some fishing skills. From 5 I learned about various wildlife. I got good knowledge of chemistry and reactions. In 7 I learned how to fortify and make instant shelters as well as how other buildings are layed out. In 8 I learned some weaving. Obviously most of my hunting and tracking skills come from 9, and 10 gave me knowledge on negotiation and tactics. 11 gave me plant knowledge and 12 helped me adapt to a harsher life incase a time comes when food is hard to come by and luxuries aren't avalable."

I grinned, something I do not do on a regular basis. "If they sent Peacekeepers after me, I'd just dissappear before the Peacekeepers have time to react. They're so tactless sometimes. I could lead them on a wild goose chase in their own homes."
