"Avox, come here now" Miyuki's master calls. He sounds upset but she has the feeling that its not with her. She pads down the stairs silently and hurries into the master bedroom where her master sits on his bed. He can't be much older than her, 26 or 27, maybe. He has jet black hair and ice colored eyes that look up as she enters the room. You called? She signs. He nods, patting the bed beside him for her to sit. She takes a seat warrily, not trusting him quite yet. She'd been here for a few weeks now and was starting to learn that the master often consulted his Avoxes because he knew they wouldn't tell any of his secrets, they couldn't talk after all. He smiles at her as she sits down before getting down to it. "I meant to speak with you before now but I've been very busy if you know what I mean" He says. She nods, knowing exactly what he means. He'd been looking after a new child that he'd recently taken in. He was known throughout the capitol as a man who loved children and often took care of any homeless children he found. At the moment he had 3 kids living under his roof. Since she'd come here, she'd learned that he viewed all of them as his children, including his avoxes. "I wanted to ask you a bit about your story, I like to know about the people living in my house and what their backstory is. As an avox, I assume you have an interesting story of your own. As well, judging by the cat ears and tail, I'm assuming you're from the capitol." He says, looking at her. She smiles, liking her new owner already. Well, I came from a relatively rich family in the capitol. I had a sister named Attia who loved me a lot but I hated what the capitol did to the kids of the district, I rallied the people of the capitol but the Peace keepers didn't like that much so I ended up getting arrested and avoxed She signed to him. He understands completely. "I'm sorry" He says softly. She can't look at him. She doesn't want his sympathy, she hates it when people give her sympathy. It makes her feel weak.
They talk for a little while, him talking, her signing what she wants to say, and by the end of it, she doesn't feel so alone. As she gets up to leave, he smiles at her. "Thank you for telling me about yourself" He calls. She smiles, feeling relieved. Maybe he's not so bad she thinks, walking back down the hallway and up the stairs to her room. She's not paying attention and walks into someone accidentally. Sorry She signs, looking up.
