"I know." Faith said in almost a whisper hearing the difficulties of not seeing one another for a few weeks, the most she could do was pray another farm needed help in order to save Jack the dangerous trip. At least Faith had the opportunity of seeing the twins which were replicas of their Father, where Jack probably only had a picture of his family to keep from being homesick. Watching Jack lean against the door frame so close to Faith simply reassured the similar feeling of hearing Jack sing a romantic song, so maybe the break would do some good.
It was of course really sweet to hear Jack's concern of Faith needing protection on the walk, and the offer to send his dog. "Are you sure?" Faith asks looking down at the dog she was growing fond to after not having any relationship with a dog before. With a comforting hug Faith certainly didn't want to leave, but it was true that her Father was probably already blowing steam from her disappearance. "Thanks." Faith gave Jack one last smile before acknowledging Storm with a rub on the top of his head.
Surprisingly having Jack's four-legged friend truly did help from the cold, dark and erie path home. Guilt almost came over Faith when the time reached to send Storm back, but knowing Jack wouldn't offer her something that he was certain to have a good outcome she did. "Thanks for keeping me safe." Faith smiled huge bending down to give attention to Storm before sending him back.
The next day the question of visiting the healer quite a bit away arises, but the fear of not seeing Jack or his adorable children postponed that thought. Faith could wait to see what happens with Jack, and that brought the next debate of whether to go see him or wait. Certainly she wouldn't be able to last more then a few days without seeing what she felt like was her best friend, but luckily while in the process of dishes after breakfast Jack's seen through the window heading towards the front door.
Knowing that the step-mother and sisters were occupying the living room, Faith rushed towards the door in fear of one of them being the first face Jack came across. "Jack!" Faith smiled huge opening the door after only two knocks. "Did Storm get home safe?" Was her first question that was plastered on her mind since the dogs departure.
"Come in." Faith offered opening the door to the sight of girls taking up the living room and she quickly directed Jack towards the kitchen, especially after the weird look exchanged from her step-mother and oldest younger sister. "How's the job hunt?" She asked going back to her task at the dishes, holding her breathe in fear of his answer.
