Falling Out of line //Killz; Open for 1 more

I feel like I stare at her forever before she does something to take me out of my transe. Even though she doesn't say a word, I get the feeling my sudden presence isn't welcomed in front of her. Even though, I don't understand, I can tell when to leave well enough alone. Even when she starts to back up, I know that it would be best if I just leave her alone. The last run in I had out in the woods with a few girls, ended up taking a turn in an opposite direction. Both times, it was because I had taken off from my duties. I need to stop doing this.

"Sorry, not trying to scare you. I was just..." What? Shirking my responsibilities again? Taking the easy way out? Running from my future and father? You bet ya. The longer I stare at the girl, the more uneasy I am. I would hate for her to start yelling and alerting anyone near that I have not arrived at work, so I get up. I use my hands against the ground, and pull myself up, dusting off the debris from my behind and back. I then proceed to my legs and dust them off rather harshly. Satisfied, I stand back up. My hatchet is still in my belt as I move my hand to touch it. That's all I need is to break it. My dad will be furious if I did. The thoughts ravage my brain. Lectures from my dad are the worse, so I try to avoid them at all costs, though I've heard so many that I can quote most of what he'll end up saying.

Her voice comes out in a growl. Completely out of anger, but she seems to just want me out of her sight. I would gladly oblige her statement, but if I was to leave now, there would be no telling where I would end up. I sigh rather harshly and throw my hands up to her in surrender.

"Okay. OKay. I'm going. Geeze! No need to throw a hissie fit. It's not like you own these woods." I snap at her. Her gesture and body language sets me on edge. Is she going to attack me? I was curious. My left hand goes on to my hatchet for no reason. It's not like I'll use the thing on her willingly. I never had to before and besides, she's a girl. I was raised better than that. "Whatever..."

I back up a few steps, keeping my gaze on her. One. two. Three. My feet move backwards with each need to get away from this feral girl. My foot turns on the ground, letting me face the opposite direction of the girl. Just leave her alone. Probably just having girl issues. I chuckled lightly, beginning to walk away, sticking my hands in my pockets. Maybe, I should go to work for once?

There seems to be a moment when I take a breath and collect my thoughts. Was I being to rash to act like this when I had no clue what was going on? Was I taking the precautions my dad would if he were put into this situation? I can only guess that he would be just as uneasy about the feeling of being ambushed in the middle of the woods. When the girl in front of me nodds over her companion, I really feel like it is going to be a bloodbath or something. I can run, so perhaps I'll be able to get away?

Then, I see who it is. Some guy that I've had a run in with before several months ago. Great... now let's just have a freakin party, shall we? I think to myself. I still make a wedge between myself and these two. I don't feel comfortable around this girl and the guy, whose hand is on his hatchet, threating the girl, is just another woodsman to me. I have no quarrel with him. Though, suddenly when he threatens the girl, I get a pang of guilt because that was going through my mind only moments ago, only I didn't voice out my intentions. I just contemplated using it should she attack me first. Now, I'm curious if I should start defending her from him?

Just by the way she's reacting and instantly voiceing out an apology, I think it's safe to say that she's the one terrified of the newcomer and not him. I look him over for a moment, wondering if he was going to use the thing on me, too.

"You planning on using that?" I voice out rather harshly to the boy. I've forgotten his name, naturally. I remember what I have to when the time calls for it, but I've only met the guy once, so the name never stuck. There is a time for formalilty later... What is he doing out here? I turn back to the girl who begins to walk away. What is this feeling that is overcoming me? Do I feel sorry for her now? Do I feel bad for speaking to her with a heavy tongue?

"No need to be sorry... I didn't mean to be rude with you. You didn't want to talk." I piped out, my voice not harsh nor calm. Neutral. I don't understand why she whimpered then I can see that maybe it was the other guy that had done it. "He's an idiot. Don't mind him."

I voice out without concern. I'm not afraid to be outspoken, so I begin to walk closer to the girl, both hands outstretched. A gesture of coming in peace and not wanting a fight or for her to react too harshly like before. Then again, it will protect me if she decides to come at me. I know not of her intentions, so precautions were necessary.

"What's your name?" I ask.
