Personality:A dream is a wish your heart makes, than I must not be dreaming hard enough
Cinderella stands about 5"6' with a pretty average figure to her. After all she's sixteen years old so she has bloomed into a young women with the slight curves that someone her age should have, though she is skinny. She's not skinny enough that she's underfeed, if anything she could be considered one of the better feed person in town, only because her family lives on the more wealthy side of town and she prepares their meals; making it easy to sneak a little bit of food when she is really hungry. With lugging buckets of coal and water, Cinderella is able to lift about fifty pounds or so; this also causes her to have some nicely toned arms and shoulders. As well with lifting these things in order to do the chores around her home, her legs are also slightly toned; however not enough that causes her to run quickly or very far.
Cinderella's face is slightly rounded with a little pointed chin at the end; making it a very friendly face and even sweeter when she smiles. Her eyes are almond shaped with the color of sky blue, with the lashes framing them. All in all you might call her a young beauty, though the pains of her hard life are shown in her eyes when she feels that people are not looking at her.
Cinderella's hair is what you might call a strawberry blonde, heavy on the blonde side. What this means is she's pretty much a blonde with a light mix of red in her hair. Her hair is thick but smooth, no curl or wave to it because of its thickness. Her bangs hang down to her eye brows in order to help hide/cover a scar that she has on her forehead; this was given to her by her step mother at a very early age in her life. The rest of her hair lays back down to just past the top of her shoulders; given about an inch maybe two depending on how long in between haircuts. Normally Cinderella keeps her hair pulled by the use of a handkerchief that is placed over her head and tied at the back of her neck; in reality it was just a piece of square cloth that was of no use to anyone. At the beginning the cloth had been white but over the years and the coal dust the once white cloth was now gray; no matter how many times it's washed it does not change this fact. The rest of Cinderella's clothing is just like her scarf on her head, old and well worn. The dress she wears is a brown color, with sleeves of a light gray; there are a few patches on the dress were she has ripped it or maybe a burn and she had to repair it. Around her middle however she wears and apron that once again was white at one point but is slowly going gray just like everything else in this district.
The rest of Cinderella has not come out unscratched in her life however. Besides the scar on her forehead there are plenty of markings on her hands of a young woman that isn't afraid of hard work; owing to the fact that hard work is really the only thing that she knows. Most of these scares come from burns and cuts; which are due mostly to preparing dinners and stoking the fire in the family home. The uses of making Cinderella a slave in her own home, dressing her in rags, and kicking her around a little is what her step families does in order to keep Cinderella not only down trodden on life but her beauty from out shinning theirs. What they don't realize is that it's not all Cinderella's outward beauty that is shown but the inside shinning out.
Hunger Games:
People might go for her looks, though she doesn't see the beauty in herself due to her step family always trying to beat it out of her. Truth is though she feels like a plain ordinary girl there is a certain kind of beauty about her that might draw a few people to her; if anything just to see if she has the skills to match or if she is nothing more than a pretty face.
First thing that most people realize about Cinderella is her trying to find the bright side to everything attitude. This mostly comes from the fact that she really hopes that everything will turn out all right in the end. Maybe this is due to her father reading her fairy tales while she was a little girl, giving her that false hope that one day someone would come and take her away from all of this; or maybe it was because her father was always so happy no matter what was going on. This emotion isn't a deep one however, for she tries to portray it for others to see when in reality she can't help but become sadden like others in the world around her.History:
A weakness to her personality is her humble and submissive nature, not because she really wants to be but because she has to. There are only really two choices for Cinderella in district twelve, she can do what her step family demands of her or she can go to the child home for orphans; she's not happy at home but she knows that things would be and could be a lot worse. So to her step family she has become submissive in order to keep herself safe.
Now this doesn't make Cinderella weak, in truth this knowing when she should be submissive, or display an air of happiness, makes her wise. What holds this all together are two things determination and small rebellious fire on the inside. Cinderella is determined to keep herself alive and healthy in order to one day escape her step family though with district twelve being its size and the fact that she has no money this could only be a dream. The rebellious fire inside of Cinderella causes her to take a few chances, that otherwise could end up getting her into a lot of trouble with her step family; she never does anything big enough that could get her into trouble with the peace keepers. No she tends to drag her feet, or steal some food, or cause a little bit of other trouble once in a while; just enough to get away with or hope to anyway.
All in all Cinderella really is a dreamer, longing for a better life one day. Deep down she knows this most likely would never happen but she can help but dream.
Hunger games:
People would be drawn to her sweetness; for she would display her everything is ok and wonderful. Cinderella would play up her silver linings in gray clouds as much as she could in hope to get someone to send her money and support her, in reality she would be this really scared and frighten girl. Believe that there would be no way in heaven she could ever hope to escape alive.
Cinderella's mother and father had met at the last reaping either of them would ever attend again. It wasn't really love at first site, but Cinderella's father couldn't help but feel drawn to the young women with golden hair. Constanze, Cinderella's mother, was the daughter of the local soap maker where Etienne was the son of the local candle maker; most of these candles would be used in the mines when other light sources because unenviable. Both families were not wealthy, but they made enough selling their wares in order to make it in the world. Both families only had had one child each, so when the two had decided to get married they had decided to combined the two businesses together; after all it wouldn't be that hard to make soap and candles, so with the stores combine Constanze and Etienne began their life together.Codeword: odair
Just two years after marriage Constanze found out she was to give birth to a child, this news caused Etienne such great happiness; he didn't care if they had a boy or a girl he just wanted a healthy baby. Of course there is great sadness when a person decides to have a child for you can't help but worry that one day their life might be handed over to the capitol for the yearly entertainment called the Hunger Games. This happy news however would also mean the tidings of unhappy news.
Cinderella came into this world before her time, causing great complications for Constanze. The day had dawned warm and clear but at dusk a great storm arose which caught everyone off guard. Constanze was in her garden tending to the small patch of vegetables that they grew in order to help feed the family; when a clap of thunder clash over head. It as at that moment labor pains set in and Constanze screamed for her husband. Etienne quickly took his wife to the room that they shared and went for the midwife, all the while in a panic for his wife and unborn child. Once the midwife came she set to work, chasing Etienne out of the house so that she could do everything that she could for Constanze and the child within. It was a hard battle for Constanze, and a long one in the end however Cinderella was born; but sometimes when a new life is brought into the world another has to be taken. The midwife brought Etienne inside and informed him that his wife would not live out the night. Sadden by this news Etienne rushed to his wife's side and took his hand in hers, the two just looked at each other for a moment not speaking a word; for true love needs not words. She than asked her husband to grant her one wish, to love their little daughter as both a father and a mother. Than with a kiss on the downy soft baby's head, Constanze left the pains of the world.
For a while Etienne just cried in grief, holding onto his lifeless wife's hand with her other arm was still around the sleeping baby. For Cinderella had fallen fast asleep once she had been placed in her mother's arms. It would be hours later when Etienne would take up the child and turn his back on his wife's body. Knowing that the child needed to get warm, he pulled out the large kettle and after placing it beside a the fire place, with blankets inside, he place the little girl in it. Color rushed to the tiny girl's body and as she became warm she let out a sign, it was at the moment the kitchen's fire seemed to come more to life; as if it knew it had a very serous job to do. Etienne couldn't help but smile as he looked down at their daughter, for Constanze and him had decided before her birth that they would name their daughter; if they had one; Ella but now a new name came to his mind Cinderella.
For a while it was just Cinderella and her father, and there was nothing more that the child could really ask for. The two of them could be seen going everywhere together, Etienne teaching her about how wonderful life really could be even with all the darkness around them. He taught her to read and about her mother before the tender age of five, telling her stories that would one day be the root of her dreams. However Etienne knew that there were things that he wouldn't be able to teach her for those things could only be taught by a mother.
There was a women in the district, who was very ambitious wanting a life better for herself and her two daughters than what she had. She had once been married to a coal miner that had sadly died and now she found herself without a husband and really without anything. Her eyes set on Etienne knowing that he was widower with a daughter; making him an easy prey. It didn't take Chantal; for that was her name; long to get his attention and soon his affections. It was a fast romance and soon the two were married. Chantal moved into the home with her two daughters; Drizella and Anastasia.
It wasn't long after that Chantal grew to dislike her step daughter, for she could see that Cinderella was everything she wanted her daughters to be; beautiful and graceful; but there was nothing she could do for now. It would be right after Cinderella turned five years old that her father became deathly ill, no one truly knows from what, and slipped away to join his first wife. Cinderella was heartbroken for her father was her best friend, but if she had hoped to find comfort and love from her step mother or sisters she was mistaken. It was shortly after that Chantal showed her true colors, forcing Cinderella to become a slave in her own home.
Though out the years Cinderella had learned to expect her lot in her life, though she always dreamed of a better life for there really must be something out there that was better than this. Every day she dreams and wishes this, this is what gives her the strength to ender everything that her step family gives her; or the mean things they say. If she only knew that in reality she is the reason the family has held together, for if it wasn't for her the shop would have had to close a long time ago, for her step mother and sisters no nothing about making soap or candles. The shop is not what it once was, and there are nights were they have less food than normal, but Chantal hopes to change that one day by marrying one or both of her daughters off to someone wealthy; though that's hard for district twelve. Cinderella on the other hand hopes for this to happen cause than she might finally find a way to escape and have her own life. Until she works hard and dreams even harder.
