Within a second of hearing the door creek closed Charlie was off in sleeping world, for so much needed rest. Except that it didn't come off too much as rest on account things were buzzing through her slumbering mind; things that Jaime, Heather, and Elias had scolded her with, her own fears of not being able to do her job as the protector of this family. It was like a movie theater, with Charlie stuck to the chair as she was forced to watch home movies that were never actually filmed. After all who would film the two oldest siblings screaming at one another just after their Father was sent away, as Jaime attempted to comfort the younger ones who had began to cry. Or the time where Heather claimed that Charlie was selfish because she was too wasted to watch over the baby of the family. Though that one might of been Charlie's fault.
The worst one of all was watching herself fight exactly as it happened earlier today. But this time all the Smiths were there witnessing it, not cheering their big sister on but not booing her either. All there without emotions as Charlie attempted to take them, to protect her family. The dream didn't have Charlie seeming to win though, she stayed on the ground as the three men got to there feet. A pulse ran through her, another burst of energy as she saw the three guys making their way to her family. She only dropped back down to the ground when she realized they weren't a threat, as she watched them all walk away, one guy even put his arm around Heather.
The door to the attic was brutally opened, practically scaring Charlie off of her bed. At least the dream was over. Jaime had slept in for the first time in his life and was now late to school. Charlie moaned and groaned as she slammed her head back into the pillow. That boy was too good, whenever Charlie was late for school she said 'F it' and fell back asleep. Not Jaime though, god forbid he was late let alone actually missed a day.
Anything would do to wear today, especially because there was no time and Charlie would probably witness her younger brother's bad side if she kept him here longer then needed. Was there any way at all that she could convince him to just skip school today? Not to be a bad influences, just that it seemed Jaime deserved it. Reopening her door that pulled out a small ladder to bring her to the second floor, it was awfully quiet. Usually by this time kids were running around getting ready, unless someone else toke them to school.
The attic held a few small windows but Charlie had managed to shield them all up with blankets or anything to make her room completely dark at any hour of the day. As for the rest of the house though it was very bright and the first indication of a hang over was given. Her head began to throb, and eyes squinted in attempt to block it out. First things first was grabbing another pair of aspirin to get her through the day. That and a pair of sun glasses as well. No food, maybe a little bit of water and this thing would be gone in no time. Charlie was very trained as curing an hangover, though it was odd she had one just off of a few drinks last night.
"Did Heather take everyone to school?" Charlie asked when she finally saw Jaime in between his running around to get ready. He was neglecting to grab anything to eat, so for the first time Charlie attempted to be that motherly thing. They really held nothing much in the fridge, even after hunting all day for game and giving her tip money to Heather to buy some basic necessities. There was this thing that she knew the young ones loved, some kind of candy bar that seemed fit enough to be breakfast. Oats, or maybe that was a cookie, was covered in chocolate and other sugary things.
That was a good way to start off the day right? It'd give him plenty of energy, she placed it down on the counter as her offering of help. "Here breakfast." She pointed to the treat with a silly grin, it wasn't bacon and eggs, nor a piece of toast or cereal, but it was on the go.
