Just seeing the mirror was a struggle, too high for your tiny legs, using you're toes to get the extra height. Even as you look in the mirror, you dip and rise as you try to be balanced. Your hair is a brown, not to dark, not to light, just...well, right. Maple-coloured. Falling to your waist in well kept waves, it covers your imperfections just right. Still those spots pockmark your skin, your nose crooked from where you walked into the tree. They did try and tell me. But I couldn't hear them. Just stops everyone else seeing them. But I still know that they're still there.

You would call yourself slim, but gangly; the lack of heavy work that everyone else does has quite obvious effects on your body. No one could see that you were slim by the cheap clothes you wear, leaving bags in bad places. All are like that. Apart from one. The reaping dress. Why we have to look good for impending death, I have no idea.But you just don't care. It's life. I've never had anything to compare it to.

Your eyes are brown, but quite light. They're the colour of autumn, matching the leaves littering the forest floor. They're aged from beyond your time, the problems in your life beyond what you deserve. But it's my life. I get what happens to me.

Even as you walk away from the mirror, you can still see it in the corner of your eye. You see your gait in the mirror, straightening slightly as you walk away. Well no-one told me how to walk like a woman. You turn and shut the mirror away.
