[presto] plot description The Aubergines have inhabited District Two for as long as anyone can remember. They have a reputation for being cruel and aggressive. Each generation pressures their children into training for the Hunger Games, and each generation has been disappointed that none of their children were Reaped. The Aubergines would rather have their children die than not be Reaped at all. They often rant about how the Reapings are rigged and that's why none of them get in. Some complain that the world is against them, that fate is against them. Everyone knows that the Aubergines are after the crown. All they want is victory and glory. That is there one and only goal. In order to achieve the goal and increase the rates of Aubergines in the Reaping, the Aubergines started to spread their last name, meaning that the previous generation had lots of children. They are cold, detached, unloving parents who will only ever love their children as a trophy. The whole district is aware of their obsessive ways, although not many openly look down on the Aubergines. Aubergine is a prestigious surname and have a very wealthy background and good connections. But there is more to this family than just training for the Games. Each year, the Aubergines take their children (illegally) deep into the forest. Over the years, the Aubergines have built an underground labyrinth. So what do they do with this labyrinth? They play a game called the Labyrinth Game. The Labyrinth Game's purpose is to prepare for the Hunger Games. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - There is a naming theme for the Aubergine children. The naming theme is feelings, or a noun that has to do with the state of people. So names would be like Fear, Bravery, Vanity, ect. (yes, you may use these names if you'd like). But I don't want to see any names like Giraffe or Bear or Tiger, nor do I want to see stuff like Leaf or Flower. name help: Vanity, Hope, Pride, Bravery, Bliss, Joy, Sorrow, Misery, Treachery, Enchanted/Enchantment, Spellbound/Spellbinder, Beauty, Glamor, Love, Hatred, Malevolence, Greed, Avidity. The typical Aubergine look is blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. Heart-shaped faces and rosy cheeks are also a common trait. However, you do not have to follow this. Just keep it reasonable. If you Aubergine is dark-skinned, that wouldn't fit with the family. Red hair is really pushing it, but I'll allow a few redheads. Please keep in mind that the Aubergines live in a Career district, meaning that the Games are a big part of their lives. Most of them will want to be Reaped and win, and most will train. Adalricus and his brothers will all pressure their children into training and buying tessera. The Aubergines are also a wealthy family, so poverty is not a problem for them. Please keep in mind that all Aubergines will age. They age one year every activity check! So, everyone will age one year when the 67th check comes, then another year in the 68th, and so on. | [presto] labyrinth game function The labyrinth never changes, however it does have new traps and whatnot every year. Each Aubergine starts the Labyrinth Game when they turn ten, and start training for the Hunger Games at eight years old. The purpose of the Labyrinth Game is to prepare the Games. It is also supposed to teach the Aubergines stealth, speed, intelligence, and ingeniousness. There is a point system in the Labyrinth Games. Each seeker (the equivalent of a tribute) starts out with one hundred points and everything they do wrong subtracts points from that total. There is no use of weapons due to safety reasons. If someone attacks another seeker unarmed, they will lose ten points. In the Labyrinth, there are hiding places all around. This is because if you run into anyone, and they see you before you see them, they will stamp you (each seeker is given a stamp). The stamp says "S" which stands for "seen." Each stamp will cost you points. There are also items you can find - each worth fifty points. LG TIME: The Labyrinth Games are over the course of three days. Each day is a week, so the LG will last three weeks. If you go inactive during the Labyrinth Game, you will be eliminated. Please stay in the group thread. There will be one each day of the Labyrinth Game, and if you fail to post in one turn, you will be eliminated. Each turn is twenty posts, because there are twenty Aubergine children. Wait your turn to post, please, or ten points will be deducted from your Aubergine. There is one turn every three days, so there are two turns in total for a week. Everyone gets a break on Sunday. That is six turns total for the entire Labyrinth Game. SEEKERS: There are twenty seekers. The number of seekers changes every generation, and since there are twenty Aubergine children in total, the number of seekers is twenty-four at the moment. Every Aubergine must participate - they have no say in the matter. THE VICTOR'S PRIZE: The victor gets a trophy made by Adalricus Aubergine (Victory Aubergine's father), the eldest brother, who is a blacksmith/weapon maker. Glory comes with winning, and the praise of the victor's parents, which is the greatest gift of all. Images of the victor will be displayed on the template in use. MOVEMENT: To keep the Labyrinth Game fair, dices will be used to move around. In each post, you must use a dice. The dices determine where the player moves and what happens to the player. DICE ROLLS: As stated above, dice rolls determine what happen to your character during the Labyrinth Game. To roll, insert the code [*roll range=1-49"], but remove the * for it to work. 1 - 8 = Move straight ahead. 9 - 16 = Turn right. 17 - 24 = Turn left. 25 - 27 = Spotted by another player. This is only effective if another player in that turn rolls 25, 26, or 27. If no one rolls this, then you're fine and nothing happens. You do not roll again. If multiple people roll 25, 26, or 27, then they all see each other and all of them lose points. 28 - 32 = Finds a Class Five item. 33 - 36 = Finds a Class Four item. 37 - 39 = Finds a Class Three item. 40 - 41 = Finds a Class Two item. 42 = Finds a Class One item. 43 - 45 = Runs into a minor trap. 46 - 48 = Runs into a medium trap. 49 = Runs into a major trap. POINT GAINING: One turn without being seen = 5 points gained. Two turns without being seen = 10 points gained. Three turns without being seen = 15 points gained. Finding a Class Five item = 10 points gained. Finding a Class Four item = 20 points gained. Finding a Class Three item = 30 points gained. Finding a Class Two item = 40 points gained. Finding a Class One item = 50 points gained. POINT PENALTIES: Being seen = 10 points deducted. Running into a minor trap = 10 points deducted. Running into a medium trap = 20 points deducted. Running into a major trap = 30 points deducted plus a turn delay. Fighting physically with another seeker = 20 points deducted. Failing to post within one turn = 10 points deducted. POINT ITEMS: You get to decide what you find, but make sure it is one of these and keep it within the correct class! Each item has the number of points that it's worth written in black marker. Refer to the point gaining selection to see how much an item is worth. Class Five items: A brown maple leaf, a bluejay feather, a green bandana, and a red ribbon. Class Four items: A red rose petal, a dreamcatcher, an orange ribbon, and an eagle feather. Class Three items: A bronze bell, a bronze cape, and a yellow ribbon. Class Two items: A silver necklace with a single charm on the chain (the charm is a maze) and a green ribbon. Class One item: A gold medal with a blue ribbon attached to it so that the seeker that found the item can wear it around their neck.
