Gala Thomas
Age: Thirteen.75
District: Two
With the memories haunting Gala throughout the day she immediately knew camping with her friends is exactly what she needs to cure of this scary disease. Even the car ride filled with pumped energy for this has her primarily distracted, as if every mile more bad memories were simply left behind. No one needs to talk for the excitement to radiate through the car. The toddler even keeps a smile in her sleep...except where'd the kid come from? Most likely the blonde who occasionally rides past the window Gala's set on staring out of. Kyanite mentioned someone named Vy also being apart of that one horrible day. Gala's never met her though. But her ride's at least cool the youngster figures.
A lake meets Gala's eyes as they travel around their campsite. Out of all places they had to pick something with a large body of water? Guess it's only her that finds terror in such a thing after what happened. Well she's always been one to refuse going near anything larger then a bath before, but now the fears enhanced greatly. It feels as if her eyes are stuck on the rippling blue forever until she finally pears away to retrieve her bag. She doesn't have to go near it, it can still be a fun trip. Even as she refuses to look back at it, it's plastered in her mind more then the actual pool that haunts her. Good thing she's never been one to talk a load because now her voice doesn't trail out often.
Everyone gets soaked into the process of tent building, and just out wanting to be appear normal Gala goes to help as well. It doesn't take long for everyone to get distracted in the environment though. That one referred to as Vy caring to the little blonde, Kyanite and Matthew being all couple like, and the boys off in the nature. It's nice to see but only has Gala retrieving to unkind mind, eyes wanting nothing more then to fall back the on the lake or scan around the trees for a threat. They said Jins is locked up far away, yet her anxiety never faded from that news. Maybe a walk in the fresh air could do her some good, reassure her that no enemies are lurking around. With everyone busy it's not difficult at all to sneak off to a trail thats weaves throughout the campsite.
Guess no one goes camping at this time because there's no signs of any other travelers. Only nature noises float around the path, with occasional sounds of laughter in the far distances from her friends. It's all so peaceful except for that lake that has now found its way at the side of her trail. Least the path is higher, giving her an almost dominant feeling over that fear that walks beside her. Of course her eyes never leave it though, as if having a stare off with something that'll never blink.
A piece of dirt crumbles beneath one of shoes, completely catching her off guard until she's tumbling down towards the water. Her heart's racing a million miles an hour as only chunks of dirt offer support as they fall as well. Inches away from where the water meets the dirt her shoes dig into the mud to bring her to a breathtaking halt. Every inch of her body shakes in fear as she tries to catch her breath, her fingers gripping the dirt as if she was still at the threat of falling in. She's not though, and after a minute she's scrambling to her trembling legs to find a way back up to the path. A thick root is as good as it gets and she begins pulling her way up.
