Frustration. Hatred. Confusion. Every single emotion was painted straight onto the dark haired peacekeeper-in-training's face. The moment he stepped out of that little room that held the person so dear to him, his balled up fist automatically retreated in a quick fashion behind him and made contact with the wall beside of his hip. With his back against the wall, he kept his fist against the solid barrier. Dangerous orbs stared directly in front of him, collecting every detail about the hallway. The number of pictures of former peacekeepers that have done well enough to earn their pictures upon that very barrier that is keeping him from seeing what's going on between him and the interrogation room. The walls that are keeping his 'once' upon a time friend in handcuffs with baggy eyes.
"How could you, Charlotte?" He automatically went by her real name. His mind couldn't make up whether to call her by her preferred name or something that only he would be able to call her. It was without a doubt, a predicament as he let his fist loose contact with the wall only to hit it again, only softer. "I'm going back in..." He stated right before his eyes caught movement. Someone appeared from around the corner of the once empty hallway. Immediately, his mind didn't perceive it as who he wanted to see. He figured it was another uniformed officer whose rank outdone him.
"Vy..." His mouth automatically uttered with a silent whisper and he quickly unballed his fist in order to appear to her as anything but upset and about to lose his temper. For a moment, he watched her approach. Watched her step. He was half expecting for her to just pass him up and go further down the hallway. He even looked at her as if she was the next to go into the interrogation room and subtly took a step to cover up the doorknob.
Then she stopped within a foot of him. HIs eyes fell upon her, then fell away. No sooner then he looked upon her facial expressions the might match his own, a heartbreaking - heart wretching scream shot him through the heart and he immeditately turned to meet the door and step back. "Charlie!"
His fingers flew to meet with the door, but something stopped him in the act. His fingers latched onto the door, white knuckled and all. He held still... his fingers shaking even with the grip on the door. His arm completely stiff and unmoving. "Vy, I can't..."
