All the world is a stage, except the people in it... [Cameo]

Charlie is hurt or injured. Killed, possibly, by the way all of this has happened. That man that called... why is he trying to hurt me? First by insisting to get my mother, now I have to deal with the death of another family member. I let these things get to me more than I should, but there's so much going on right now. I don't know how to deal with the events that have happened in just a week and they keep getting more and more extreme as I go.

"There's nothing either of us can do."

Again, I feel like there is. There has to be something someone can do to keep her from harm or being guilty of something. Charlie just can't be that bad that the peacekeepers have to be involved, let alone for Jeran to be called into the interrogation room. Maybe, Charlie is to blame? The evil thought pushes against my good senses for what I remember about the girl who took care of me as a big sister. She's family afterall. No amount of reassurance that vy gives me is enough to console the fear that's gripping my heart, but at least I try to calm my breathing.

"Vy, will you please have my brother call me as soon as you see him again? I'm surprised he's not already called." I question with no real intent to get an answer. I'm sure she will tell him to call me when he has a moment, but for now, what Vy says will have to suffice. "I'm trying not to worry, but it's hard."

My legs extend outward in front of me, allowing myself the luxury to place a hand to my stomach. A light rubbing motion, in circles, seems to help with trying to calm down. If only they were here to talk to in person. It's still a few days before they get here for the weekend and right now, I can't wait to see them all. With those words meant to calm me, she changes the subject to get my mind off of it. There's no way I'm forgetting about Arlie, but the next topic isn't any better. If not, it's worse. I wish Vy were closer so I could talk to her in person because talking on a phone without physical contact with someone just doesn't seem to help.

"My father... Umm, Saturday? Hey, Vy.... something's happened with my father." I take a deep breath. I'm not sure what Vy will have to say to this, but at least she'll a clue when she gets here about what's going on. I havn't told Matthew either because he seemed to be in his own predicament that I didn't want to make worse. Why make him worry?

"Apparently, I'm an unruley child that needs a new mother..." I state. Does she remember about my mother? Another hiccup interviens. "My father had me meet this woman the other night and she's horrible. I mean, just so fake. Like she actually tried to become my friend or something. Asking me about my relationship status, thanks to my father. She wanted to know my grades and my friends. Vy... he said their going to be married soon... I don't even think Jeran knows."

The topic change, isn't any better than the one before, but I can tell that she wanted to get off that subject. For reasons that I don't know. I just go with it. What does happen now, is a whole new game. A whole new player up to bat because this is the curve ball to everything. I have no clue how my father is going to react when I tell him that I'm expecting now just days after he brought home some blonde haired woman with a fake attitude. Her demanor totally trying to find out all my personal information and traits without even really 'asking'. Basically, with the looks my father was giving me over dinner, I knew better than to cross him. For my sake and my baby. I don't want anything to happen, so I felt like I was obligated to playing 'perfect' daughter yet again. I remember when I was his 'perfect' daughter.

Not anymore.

The thought of me being an unruley child is beyond the limits. I'm going to be eighteen next year, clearly, I'm not a child. Besides, I won't be a child for much longer... if I'm already past that stage with what's going to happen in a few short months. I myself will not need a mother to replace my own as I will be one myself. I will coddle my daughter or son with the same amount of love my mother did me. I'm just glad that I have Vy to talk to about this. Maybe, she'll understand?

With that chuckle, I can automatically assume what's going on through her mind. Though a few minutes after I expel all the words out of my mouth like water over the falls, she's confused asking me to repeat myself. I sigh, heavily. I take a deep breath because the anger welling up inside is becoming a little too much for me now. I went from complete fear and anxiety to anger. Two different situations that are making my emotional stability go haywire. I'll sleep well tonight... I think to myself.

"Trying to get to me? He's already gotten to me, Vy. Ever since the damn pregames, he's done nothing but to shun me or push me away. I can't take this. Not now. Now, I have to worry about dear old mummy-wanna be being all in my business. What's she going to do if she finds out that I am... pregnant? My dad will already flip out but I don't want that woman anywhere near me if she finds out. I doubt my father will hold her back. He's trying to get back what he never had."

I heard her cuss, that was for sure. I feel like saying the same, but I'd rather not have the echoes of that word effect the world around me or what the unborn baby can hear. I'm not sure it really matters, but that's what being new to all of this does. I hold back my words.

"Vy, will you come early on saturday? I kinda want to talk to you in person. I just... need some advice or something. I need help with the ba..." The car door slams somewhere outside and a curious bout of nerves round up quickly. My father left a message on the fridge this morning about being home super late again, but then who is it that's here?

"Kyanite. Sweetheart. Are you here?" I stand up quickly, with the phone still attached to my ear as I walk down the hallway a bit to the front door and see the woman shutting the door, pulling her shoes off and laying them beside the door. Already, I give her a nasty glare to see her entering my house without my father present which makes me lower the phone just a little to hear her better.

"What are you doing here, Helena? I thought, my father wasn't suppose to be home till late. Is he with you?" I question her and put the phone down to my side for a moment, not showing her that I'm on the phone already.

"No. Your father called me to come by and check on you. Said you've been absent from school for a day or two, sick or something. Are you feeling alright, my dear? Want me to check your temperature?"

I shake my head. "No."

"Oh. Well, whatever you wish. Your father wanted me to make supper for the two of you and figured I'd head on over here. Would you like to help me with it? We can do it together? You can tell me about your day. What have you done?" She questions and I'm speechless. Finally, I just blurt it out.

"How did you get in the house? I had the doors locked..."

"Oh! Your father gave me a key. Did I frighten you? I'm sorry. By the way, Kyanite, your father and I want to have a talk with you tomorrow. I think it's about time that you get back into your training regiment again. You do have two more years of the games that you're eligible for. Might as well, get you back into tip-top shape and don't say you don't want to. If what your father says is right, then you were once a promising student. What happened? Get a boyfriend? Friends?"

"You can say that. Having a boyfriend didn't effect my abilities. He enhanced them..." I bite out and put the phone to my ear. "Vy... give me just a minute. I'm going up to my room."

"Young lady. You will remain downstairs with me, or your father will hear this. Understood?" I give her a nod.

"Fine, then I'll stay down here." I crash on the couch and hold the phone to my ear and whisper. "Save me..."
