It had been yet another long day in the swamp for Beck Elden, his freckled cheeks and weathered features were now both wind and sun burnt; giving him a kind of wild look along with his tousled and slightly wavy mop of blonde hair. He looked as if he had never seen a house of this size or grandeur, or had even been near a house like this when he entered the Shepard's mansion. Although he was simply traveling through the kitchen and back mud room, all the intricately laid tile and carefully painted walls still amazed him. His feet were bare as normal, so he didn't have to worry about tracking in all the mud he had been standing in during the day, but knew that he had to keep the fish and oysters he was delivering away from the ladies of the house; since they smelled more like the ocean than even he did.
If Beck thought that he had seen some pretty things in this house, he was much to be mistaken for what was to happen to him next. He had been carefully unpacking the fish fillets away and needed some extra ice, so went into the kitchens freezer to get more when he spotted her; Priscilla Shepard. She was standing in the kitchen, near where he was headed with a glass of water and he was dumbfounded. Beck dropped the large bowl he was holding, after stopping dead in his tracks as his normally half squinting eyes widened and he stumbled for words, trying to pick up the shards from around where they were standing as he says "I-I'm sorry,miss...I-I..." just letting himself trail off as he bends down to try and clean it all up.
He now regretted that he had simply walked in, without thinking anyone could be in the kitchen, much less as girl as pretty as she was. His mud and salt stained pants had been rolled to night quite his knees, and even they were a faded; used to be navy color. He was thankful he had tossed on a loose long sleeve shirt over his skinny arms, however to hide a few of the cuts from hooks and his lack of muscle. Once he had the bigger pieces he stands once more, his unruly hair now half covering his eyes as he waits on her to yell at him, hoping maybe he could find someway to make her calm down before he lost his contract in providing them seafood.
