Pain and suffering. Two words to describe what he just had to witness between three people he knows. Two, through the association of his sister. With his mind so full and reeling with endless possibilities that could happen and go wrong, he left the dunham household in order to gain some alleviation from the stress. Mr. Dunham had said that he would rise to the occasion when it came to him and when the responsibilities fell into his lap, he was deemed an adult. More than an adult, in all honestly, for he was not only in charge of all the things that his father had to deal with, but now, he was the caretaker of his little sister. It just didn't add up in his mind and to counter that, he needed to talk to someone that would listen and that he could trust.
"Vy." His mouth moves slowly, and his voice hitches in his throat as he hits the gas a little more after stopping at a stop sign. It was plain to where he was heading. She was the only one that he could ever see himself talking to without fearing for demands or grudges. He wasn't looking for lectures but advice that came true. What better advice from a friend who would be honest? If only he could consider her just a friend...
The stars twinkled in the moonlight by the time he pulled up to her house. Only one single light was on in one of the upstairs bedroom and curiosity peeked among his thoughts. Was she still up? Shutting off the engine, he collected his keys and walked up to her door. The seconds ticked by with his hand against her door without a knock. Afraid to wake her, he found himself backing up just one step before he gained enough courage to let his knuckles hit against the wooden barrier. On the fourth knock, he halted and waited.
"Vy.. I need to talk to you? Vy.... can I speak with you?" Phrases passed through his lips with what way to address the situation, but as he waited, it seemed that the light shinning through the window was merely a forgotten light that was forever alone.
