A slow clap echoes through their cell in reply to what Kraygon has to say. He just sounds like any other rebel that despises the games. My poor loved one got reaped and killed without a choice, so sad. As if every year those games are filled with volunteers or something. The sickening part? That the innocent are dying every day within the districts, but it's a once a year event that evokes the most outrage. And to think everyone's solution is putting the enemies in a game themselves. Charlie's solution is blowing them all to bits and preventing another bloodbath from every occurring. One can see how far that's gotten her.
"Very original." She jokes with a shake of her head. Even if it would be fun to see Capitol citizens in that position, it's far from plausible.
Sure revenge might be an understandable desire, but it's also deadly...or can land someone in a place like this. "And heroic to. Guess I can see why you're in this dump." She comments about their location and his ease on dying. Not many reasons why someone lands in a detention center. Either they're die hard rebels, or were only trying to survive. How funny that the two opposite cases get stuck in a cell together.
"Me and some kid that got arrested with me were offered becoming peacekeepers instead of this place. He took it, I obviously didn't. You just never know if your revenge is given to the right people. Why they're there." It may be a change of heart, but it could also knock some sense into this boy. The idea of dying might sound peaceful, but once faced with it everything changes. Possibly her words can save him from the ultimate self-destruction that's going to mean nothing to the Capitol in the long run.
