Muttation Contest XIV

Done with mah mutts.



Well I had an entirely done Marshmallow Man then Kay and Rook said: no humanoids. No frozen stuff. Then they both evil laughed and I ran away crying.

Name of Mutt: Reinguinas
Brief Summary: A cross breed between Reindeer, Penguins, and Hyenas. Their shape is mostly Penguinoid. They look like a Penguin. The only weird thing about them is their sharp teeth in their beaks and their antlers on their heads. Penguin with teeth and antlers. That's basically it with their appearance. Oh, and in the dark they communicate by flashing lights that are on their antlers with different colors and signals. The basic signals are:
Red: Stay away
Green: Lets snuggle
Yellow: Come to me so I can eat ya.
They also travel and live in packs and when they close in on prey as one they emit a howling laughter which means certain death for everyone that isn't part of the pack. Meaning you'll be ripped to shreds by hungry penguins. They can also skewer yous with their sharp antlers. They were originally made as Traffic signals in the dark when traffic lights went out when there was a loss of power in the uprising so people could still drive. The only problem was, is that they were so stupid cars ran them all over until they were all smushed red puddles on the streets of the capitol. Now they are back with Hyena DNA to kill tributes while surviving the bitter cold.
Poision, Edible, or Neither? Edible and the antlers can be used as weapons. I also have an extra idea where every other turn they can flash their antlers and the tribute can roll a dice which has a 1/5 chance of stunning them for that turn or blinding them entirely.

Name of Mutt: Mammouse
Brief Summary: When people think Mammoth they think huge lumbering creature that lived in the ice age of the world. When cloning research was developed, humans created a new mammoth. Later. capitolites made them into house pets. They were small, about a foot high and a foot long. They were brown with tusks and whiskers which protruded from under their dark mat of fur. They were overall really friendly to the Capitolites. The Capitol still uses them as pets. Now the gamemakers sent then into the arena as a nice surprise to the tributes, they are really kind and friendly. Don't show them any weapon though because they will go berserk and their tusks can really be used to hurt. They don't attack unless threatened though.

Name of Mutt: Frosting
Brief Summary: Have you ever had vanilla ice cream? Have you ever imagined it having eyes? No. Well this is what this looks like. A little ice cream cone with ice cream on top which has eyes. The icecream part is actually freezing cold skin. It uses huge bursts of air to move along slowly. If it gets caught on something it can't be moved. They are creatures that want to be alone and are normally found solo. They were invented by a food cooperation in the capitol to let capitolite children not need to buy ice cream again. What they would do was hold the Frosting to their mouth and it would freezing blow ice cream onto their tongue. The company was about to produce more flavors like chocolate and strawberry when the Capitol shut it down. Apparently some kids squeezed the Frosting and they didn't like it so they blew so cold ice cream the kids got frostbite on their tongues and they fell off. Now they are used in the surgery to remove the tongues of avoxes. Some escaped into the sewers of the capitol though and over a few generations became toxic ice cream. The gamemakers hunted them down for these games. (See below for how I would think they would battle.)
Poision, Edible, or Neither? Toxic. Also I thought they could battle by rolling a dice 1-10 and if it got 8-10 then the tribute got frostbite and lots an item of their body. Also if a tribute thought they were ice cream and tried to eat it the tribute would lose ten damage due to toxic ice cream. They taste delicious though so eat up!

Name of Mutt: Animatronic Snowmen
Brief Summary: Back before the rebellion, the Capitol attempted to create a snowman that could interact with and play with the citizens in the Capitol. At first, it seemed like a great idea. They were easily and quickly created, with a machine called "The Great Intelligence", allowing them to create snow that can "magically" move on its own. But as time went on, the Great Intelligence went AWOL. The snowmen started popping up out of no where and attacking the citizens, sometimes even killing them. They were really weak, but they appeared in large groups. The president and his scientists had to quickly melt all the snow before it was too late. Now, it is said that the Great Intelligence is somewhere hidden in a deep cellar below the surface of the Capitol.

Name of Mutt: Clone Bugs
Brief Summary: these small blue and white bugs where created to spy on rebels and to cause rebels to mistrust each other . They bite flesh of where ever they can reach and draw out genetic material which is implanted in the bugs own DNA code morphing into a replica of the thing they bit. The creature has only basic memories and none of the wounds the creature has. The blue and white bugs are small creatures with transparent wings and large chommpers. Their eyes are small and have limited sight which causes their smell to be increased.
Poision, Edible, or Neither? Clone bugs can be eaten but at risks which list dulled sight, increased smell and hardened skin.

Name of Mutt:Carriants
Brief Summary: White as snow and made for the cold. Originally developed during the Dark Days of Panem the Carriants were an odd mix of Caribou and Ants. Why such a weird combination some may ask? The answer is simple, they were perfect for the freezing mountains. The Capitol capitol designed them perfectly as their masterful weapons. Albino white fur with piercing red eyes. White and razor sharp horns mounting their hands and the disgustingly long four ant legs. These large deer sized mutts did everything and more for what they were intended.  They appeared like nothing more than snow drifts to the rebels of the mountain. Then the moment they would stumble across one of these easily temperamental beasts it would be over. They could try to run but the mutts easily out maneuvered them with their clawed ant legs. However, the Dark Days passed and these mutts eventually vanished from every where except the Capitol's labs. So now once again winter is stirring in a frigid arena, perfect for the mutts return to the playing field.

Name of Mutt:Snowy Owlice
Brief Summary: Soaring high above the sky appears to be some kind of white bird. A snowy owl, but this is no normal snowy owl. This mutt is at least half the size of a human with fearsome knife like claws. Capable of slicing people into nothing more than strands. Their original use was during Panem's Dark Days. They were sent on countless missions to hunt down rebels in snowy areas and appropriately dispose of them. As hoped they were an extreme success. However, over the years they have all but died off. Except for the few the Capitol still have in hand. Perfect for a snowy arena such as the 69th.

Name of Mutt: Cratabac
Brief Summary: Developed by the Capitol to clean and strengthen hair, these small, flea-like creature have a firm and rigid back plated with grey armor. Smaller than your baby finger's nail, Cratabac have developed an unusual desire to eat dirt and residue that builds up in the hair of people. They are capable of jumping 30cm high, making them a nuisance if someone is diagnosed with an infestation. Once dead, they will swell to three times their size and become solid, resembling a small berry. However, if eaten, the bug will excrete an acid in the stomach of the person which will burn the tissue. If not treated, it can lead to fatality.
