My name? You should know my name, I DO work here! Personnel file? Fine, what do you want first? Right, my basic information. Well, my name is Gabriel Lewis. I am 24 years of age. Where am I from? Oh, you want the whole shabang I see. Well, I'm from..............
The colorful man you just heard from is Gabriel Lewis. He was born and raised to a middle class fishing family in District 4. He grew up as ordinary as a kid could in this world could. That was until he was 12 years old. It was at that time that his mother was killed by, well, he's still not sure. Actually, he's not 100% sure she's even dead. He just knows that one day she left for the market and just, well, she just didn't come back. In the years after this his father fell into a deeply depressed state, he stopped going to work, getting the kids food, everything. It was at that point, when he was 17 years old, that Gabe and his older sister Marie had to take care of their three younger siblings. They did a good enough job at it too. Skip ahead two more years. Gabriel is now 19, and no longer has to take care of his siblings. Why? Because they all died in a house fire after his little brother was playing with matches he bought at the market. Now Gabriel lives with his girlfriend, Frederieke, and her mother. He continued his work as a fisherman until one day a new face shows up watching the workers bring in today's haul. Perhaps it was Gabe's leader like tone towards his co-workers. Perhaps it was when Gabe hoisted a rather large fish onto a cart with little effort. Perhaps it was something entirely different, but what ever it was, it was enough. The man, a Peacekeeper Officer from the Capital, approached Gabe and offered him an opportunity to become, as he put it "Panem's Elite". Of course Gabriel said yes, so it was not three days later Gabriel was on a train to the Academy. The weeks at the Academy were among the hardest he has ever experienced, whether it was a difficult written exam, or a harsh physical test, he pulled through. After he graduated the Academy, he was shipped out to his first post: District 12. It was here that he witnessed first hand what some of his countrymen go through on a daily basis, and the government did little if anything at all to actually help. Over the next few years he got to travel to all 12 districts and even the Capital! Eventually, he was assigned to the Panem Correctional Facility, where he currently works.
Now when it comes to looks, I suppose you could say that Gabriel is average looking, or as average as can be. He has brown hair of fair length, which is usually slicked in a backward style. He has semi long side burns running to just below his ears, and stubble covering most of his chin. He has light green eyes and brown eyebrows that match his hair in color. He is a rather tall fellow, standing in at 6'3. Despite his height he is still rather agile, and can run relatively fast. He is strong too, but his muscles aren't as grand a spectacle as most women would like. He also has a particular gait about him, while standing he is constantly scanning the area around him looking ready to take action if needed. While around crowds he always looks anxious or nervous as if he's expecting something. He wears the signature white armor and helmet of the Peacekeeping Corps, although he sometimes wears a white baseball cap in place of his helmet. While off duty he wears a green jacket over a black t-shirt with brown cargo pants and combat boots.
Now onto his personality, which is arguably the better part of him. Even after the loss of his entire family, Gabe remains somewhat of a joker. Always one to offer a joke or wise crack in a conversation. He is also very caring, possibly due to him raising his small siblings for several years. This kindness extends mostly to those around him, even the "Convicts" that usually surround him. His kindness is so admirable by citizens that more than once has he earned nicknames such as "The best of the Worst". However, not everyone views this as a good characteristic. Time and time again have Gabriel's superiors looked upon him for a treasonous attitude. Despite this, he is still a good Peacekeeper, a fact that doesn't go unnoticed by his superiors. Despite these characteristics, he has his weaknesses, the biggest of which is probably his trusting attitude towards women. Perhaps it's because he believes women to be incapable of evil, perhaps it's something else. There is one thing about being a Peacekeeper that Gabriel will never be comfortable with, severe punishment. He understands that people who commit crimes must be punished, but most of the people his colleagues punish aren't deserving of it. But he wouldn't dare intervene, just stand by and watch and pray for them once he gets back to the barracks.
