Ezero Laffan It's hard to sleep with a large burn scar on my back. I can't get comfortable because each time I move it pulls and pain crackles over my skin like trapped electricity. In my core, my internal lightning hums on. This was the driving force for my attack yesterday - I think it was yesterday anyway, it's dark and the light hasn't been around for some hours now - and I hope I can tap into the energy once again if I need to. I promised myself that I would no longer seek to kill, but if I have to defend my allies and that leads to a death then I would do it. Eventually I gave up and lay on my stomach until light rose.I didn't move until I heard the stirring of Delta and Danny and Basil. "Mornin' sunshines. Ready for another dose of hell?" My eyes stay shut as I listen to Danny waking up Delta, and then when Basil wakes up with the sound of a man beaten up. I hoped his leg was stronger now, and that I had set it properly. If not, he would always have a limp. All I knew is that I had made it better than it had been, other than that I could only hope. Once they were all up I finally rose myself. Throughout our walk, I was silent. I listened to the buzz and snapping of the lightning within me as I moved, waiting for the moment when it would leap from my fingers in the form of a knife. While this thought of mine was physically impossible, I felt like a capacitor, holding a charge until the connection was strong enough - a human battery who could release a bolt of energy to zap his foes. When we reached a point where I could now see an expanse ahead of my, I turned to look in all directions. There was no one in sight, but the ominous hum sounding from my chest seemed to warn me to keep watch. As we got closer, I noticed that the land seemed to dip a ways off. Perhaps we were approaching a marsh, or even a lake. Water would serve me well right about now. Moving closer to the dip in the land, I spun as a sound reached me. Tapping Delta and Danny on the shoulder, I snatched a knife from my belt and took aim. When the form came into view, I sighted and released, sending the first sparking knife toward our foe.
