Pausing at a few scars, bruises I forgot how they got there, he makes his way upwards slowly towards my face. Then, his touch is at my neck, tilting my chin, all the way up my jaw. It feels like a cold winter.

He turns over my wrist, stares at the star, thumb brushing over it.

Sometime, I meet his eyes. The red of the room makes them glow.

“I’ll call you Bambi,” he says.
