You think way too much don’t you? A girl who had been taught at a young age that it had always been out of her interest to think about things that do not concern you.

Friends were always fickle.

Your parents were rarely around.

You never had a solid foundation under you.

Was it ripped from your feet when you tried to hold onto it? Probably.

You had fallen in love somehow in district nine. He was a boy that was bad news, and you knew that. But he was there for you when you felt alone. He taught you how to survive when you parents weren’t around, and sometimes that did involve doing things that you weren’t proud of.

Taking from people without permission.

Fighting battles you shouldn’t have been able to win.

Claiming more then you should have.

He was a mean man, who had nothing but nefarious plans for what was in store for you. He knew you would do anything for him, and he wanted to abuse that.

But someone came to their senses. Whether that was a friend or a foe, and made you realize that you had so much more to live for.

You did not have to live under his thumb just so he could reap all the spoils of your hard work.

No matter how much he told you he loved you, he would have to hear the word goodbye come from your lips.

And it tasted bitter.
