President Coriolanus Snow Found Dead In Home
The Corso, Capitol — Coriolanus Snow, former President of Panem, was found dead in his penthouse on the Corso early this morning at age 92. The former president has been held under house arrest in conjunction with an ongoing investigation into a foiled false-flag attack on the Capitol's very own Hunger Games Training Center. Though the cause of Snow's death is unclear at this time, no foul play is suspected. Authorities have suggested that the stress of the thwarted plot, in conjunction with his advanced age, may have played a role in the former president's death. The interim High Council that was originally assembled to handle state matters while a verdict had been reached with regards to the president's possible involvement in the planned attack will continue to govern for the time being. Although the investigation had not yet reached its conclusion at the time of Snow's death, the Peacekeeper Investigative Bureau have released a statement reassuring the public that they will continue to look into the matter until it is resolved. No further information has been released at this time.

Precautionary Restrictions Placed on Districts Lifted
City Circle, Capitol — Declaring the state of emergency over, the High Council has eased the restrictions that have been in effect across Panem for the last eight weeks. The sanctions, which had been put in place by the late former President Snow in response to a perceived threat of civil unrest, included curfews and lockdowns as well as precautionary power rationing and the suspension of permitted travel between the districts. The Council has donated additional stocks of legumes and tinned fish to each district in order to ease the transition back to business as usual. The dispatched Peacekeeper reserves are to remain stationed in their assigned districts for the time being.
