I acted out of fear and pain. I acted through the fact that she just saw me get badly injured and I didn't want her around should the mutt turn on her again as it seemed it had a liking to switch between the two of us. Maybe it would have attacked me again? Maybe it would have attacked her again and then I would be watching the only person who gave me a chance, die before it was barely two days into the arena.

So I yelled at her before I attacked, begged her to leave. Her innocence was more important to me. Her life was priceless to me.

It only lasted a moment or two and she took off. She heeded my warning, my anger, my raised tone but what I didn't expect was the tears that followed when she took off. Her figure disappeared as the spiked blunt in my hands came crashing down upon the creatures body, it's skull no longer whole and I stood there bewildered at my own strength and anger. The weapon now dangled at my side, the vision of this creature now deceased and it wasn't just a simple kill.

I murdered something for the first time in my life and I felt lightheaded and woozy. My stomach churning as I turned away from the dead little creature, not far from the bigger version of it.

"FUCK!" The word left my lips and echoed into the distance and I fell to my knees in order to catch my breath. My stomach pulsed and I tried to look to where Sor had ran off to and before I could try to go after her, my eyes settled upon the two creatures.

"I'm sorry you had to die. Please forgive me." I edged my way over to the little one and started to pile the snow upon its body, burying it into the arena it was born into. As my fingers became completely numb, I sat back on my knees and dropped my head. "I'll make sure your death won't be forgotten."

Tux whimpered near me, sitting beside me all of a sudden and nudged his face against my own. His heat and fur felt good against my skin and I wrapped my arms around his neck and he pulled me up.

"Okay. Okay, lets go find our other half." I limped, unable to walk without a pain hitting me. I had to find her before something else did.
